  1. Just a wee shout to remind the usual to get their predictions in before tomorrow nights game 😉
  2. It could only be the Craw, International Caps, domestic trophies. Signed for the three times as a player and then as a Manager. I have thought of others such as Kozma, Iain Ferguson and Colin Miller but I'm not sure they would be Pars Fans. Roy Barry would come close. However I can only think of Stevie Crawford.
  3. Can believe how bad a goal that was to lose, better defending in a poor Sunday league game
  4. With the departure of Manager Calum Elliot to Bonnyrig Rose, Cowdenbeath have appointed Stevie Crawford as Manager and Jason "Dan" Dare as Assistant to the end of the season. Becoming a man of many clubs I hope Stevie has success with the Blue Brazil
  5. Good to see that Hammy has made the Cinch SPL team of the week. We are getting a few players featured again so i hope this continues.
  6. Aye that would have been a pretty strong first team a few weeks ago! It seems we are playing Livi in the final as they beat Ayr 5-2.
  7. Well done to the reserves who have reached the SPFL Reserve Cup Trophy by beating Hamilton 3-1 in the semi final today at New Douglas Park. The Pars as you can see had a pretty strong team out. The scorers were Allan, Moffat and O'Halloran. Team was: Little, Benjamin, Fisher, Breen, Allan, Chalmers, O'Halloran, Tod, Moffat, Holmes, Sutherland Subs: Young, MacLeod, Beagley, Rennie Link on Cows: Hamilton Academical 1 Dunfermline 3 | Dunfermline Athletic Football Club - (dafc.co.uk) Might be tempted to go to the final when ever it is COYP
  8. There is a real sense of growing optimism at EEP and amongst the faithful with the return of injured players (only Wighton and Comrie long term) January signings going beyond expectation and have slotted in well adding to the fact that we have been unbeaten in two games and are creeping up the form table all at the right time of the season. However, we have to curb that enthusiasm and remember that unless we come away from Arbroath with three points it all means very little. Arbroath are fighting for their lives in the championship and will give everything to take something from the game. Indeed, they have done well against the Pars this season with an initial 3-0 defeat followed up with two 1-1 draws. While the Red Litchies may seek to park the bus and look to gain opportunities from set plays, the Pars will need to play with a bit of guile and be clinical in front of goal. Although we have recently scored three goals against the league leaders, being clinical is not a tag this team can claim – yet! Arbroath may have the grim reaper hanging over them but ex Par Jim McIntyre will have them organised, look to frustrate and will look to take something from the game. However, the odds suggest the Pars will hammer another nail onto the coffin by winning a tight game, 2-0 Pars, COYP

Good Luck & COYP
  11. Welch-Hayes goal from today. Brilliant stuff. COYP
  12. I thought we would win by a single goal in what was a very physical game, so i'm delighted we were not bullied out of the game. I posted earlier that if we were to even think about a promotion play off place we had to beat Airdrie & Morton - well that's us half way there with a excellent win. Towards the end of the season any team with a run of form will have a chance. COYP
  13. East End Prediction League 2023/24 Prediction League Week 30 Scores Sat 23rd March Arbroath 0 Partick Th 1 Ayr Utd 1 Queens Park 2 Dundee Utd 1 Inverness CT 1 Morton 0 Dunfermline Ath 1 (55/2105) TOP 5 1. Andrew Mitchell 20 2. Thomas Irvine 19 3. Old Yin 19 4. The Saline Hill Puma 19 5. Ross Hunter 19 Golden Goal (55m) No Winners Crowd (2105) Andrew Whitaker Brilliant away win for the Pars today but not so great scores in the prediction league despite only 4 games being played. However Andrew Mitchell takes the top space on this weeks podium with 20pts so well done to him. No one correctly predicted the time of our goal so no points but Andrew Whitaker has the second place on the podium for winning the 5pt crowd bonus. No change at the top of the table where unusually the top 4 players all scored the same 14pts, so Superally continues with his lead of 25pts over Ian Johnston in second place. We only have six games left, so remember if you don’t use your Jokers by the last game, you will lose them. Remember to check your scores and let me know if there are any problems and I’ll sort it out. Good Luck for week 31. 14. Saved Penalty, we need to manage the rest of this game out now
  15. 1-0 Pars, Welsh-Hayes first goal for the Pars
  16. Good to see Kane back, Bench looks good too. COYP
  17. Even when we look back to earlier in the season (pre injury crisis) we were never prolific or indeed clinical, plenty of chances but the end product wasnt always there. It was arguable that we weren't that prolific last season either! Thus far we have only scored three goals on four occasions this season: Dundee Utd, Partick, Arbroath & Ironically Morton. Strange that three of those sides have strongly featured in the top 4 albeit Morton have just dropped off. With nearly a full squad available I think we are more balanced and better able to convert the chances that come to us, I'll take a win by a single goal.
  18. Game on tomorrow, so you all know the script and get yer predictions in on time. COYP
  19. McPake on COWs suggesting that both Kane and Breen are back in the squad. Summers it seems has not fully recovered from a back injury. Wighton due to have surgery today. Talks positively about having nearly a full squad to play from almost to an extent that its bigger than they would like but praises the board for making the signings when we had the injuries. 20. In the last quarter we have played the top two teams in the league and still have to play Away: Airdrie, Arbroath, Ayr Utd, Morton, Home: ICT, Partick, Queens Park In the first quarter of games we took 14pts, and in the second and third Quarters we managed 9pts each. Thus far we have taken 3pts in the fourth and last quarter. Of the teams left to play our record stands as: Airdrie: 2wins, 1 loss Arbroath: 1 win, 2 draws Ayr: 1 win, 1 draw, 1 loss Morton: 2 wins, 1 loss ICT: 3 draws Partick: 1 win, 2 loss Queens Park: 1 win, 2 loss I think realistically Arbroath are doomed, There is a risk of relegation play off place, but we are 4pts clear of ICT in 9th spot. From the games left to play and injured players returning to full fitness I think there is a great chance of taking 10-12 pts which should make us safe from relegation. A good run in 12-15pts is possible and that may take us into a promotion play off but we would have to beat Partick and Airdrie. Ultimately although we need to do it for ourselves. Other teams results will help as well. Form going into the end of season is all important.
  21. Well done to Jakubiak for making the SPFL team of the week. Disappointed that KRH didnt feature as well
