scottyboy Posted December 13, 2024 Author Report Posted December 13, 2024 (edited) Here's a couple I've not seen before. Main stand looking a bit tired in the bottom picture. Got to say the upgrade of the main stand was definitely an improvement. The rest of the ground had character about it though. I'm afraid the seats killed the atmosphere and made walking round to your spot, to get yir pals, virtually impossible. We're no meant to sit doon in cauld 😆 Also notice how the away end terracing was updated, if it rained, you were ****ed. A bit like Easter Road back then, plus if you look at top picture, there is a complete lack of advertising. How the game has changed. I remember those half time scoreboards. It would have been easier shouting it oot over the tannoy 😆 Edited December 13, 2024 by scottyboy You would have struggled to hit the linesman with a pie. 2 2 Quote

Superally Posted December 19, 2024 Report Posted December 19, 2024 On this day. Perhaps one of the greatest Pars games ever. Dunfermline beat Valencia 6-2 in the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup after a 1st leg 0-4 defeat at EEP with a crowd of 14,826 3 1 Quote

scottyboy Posted January 10 Author Report Posted January 10 (edited) Here's one from 1971, from the front cover of a programme. No idea who the opposition are, could maybe be Dundee United? Edited January 10 by scottyboy In the days fans could roam freely round the ground. 1 2 Quote
