The Exelsior is now called The Albert Bartlett stadium and both end stands at Starks have company names on them with the ground strongly rumoured to be next. New Douglas Park is currently called The ZLX Stadium. I can't be bothered looking into the rest.

I'm only talking about stadium names, not stand names.

Suffice to say every club has sold a bit of their soul.

Again, that's arguable, but even if true, then it would be true to greater or lesser extents. Renaming EEP is on the greater end.

I'm really not sure why you're so upset by this. I've got far more things to worry about.

Good for you. I don't see why you object to me having a problem with it.

Clearly. I find it really odd. Sounds like you got the tin tack from KDM!

Ah of course, because nobody can possibly have a complaint if there isn't some sort of personal angle or ulterior motive.

No, I have never worked for KDM. I just dislike their involvement in tainting the name of one of Scotland's great old football grounds.

Because our history and heritage is worth more than whatever sum KDM are paying.

It's a lump of concrete steal and plastic. I don't care about any of those things, it's what happens on the green bit in the middle that's our heritage.

Aye Raith are trying to sell there naming rights.

Queens Park have also sold the naming rights to lesser Hampden.

I beleive the only clubs in the championship who haven't sold naming rights for the stadium are Falkirk, Ayr and Raith? Again, as mentioned Raith are trying too.

It's a name, everyone still calls it East End Park. We get money for it. I don't get why it's any different to selling the naming rights for the North West or the Cowden end.

I don't think Falkirk Council are official sponsors of the Falkirk Stadium, but they did put over £3m into its construction. And according to the Wiki entry for "Falkirk Stadium", the council retained most of the development rights for the site and gets rent from businesses in the main stand.

So there may be a contractual restriction on Falkirk FC calling it anything other than the Falkirk Stadium. I don't know if that's factual, though.

I’m starting to get quite uncomfortable with the level of abuse David Cook is getting. So to answer the question as to what he has actually done;

1. Introduced excellent season ticket pricing for younger fans.
2. Open training days and meet the players session
3. Sold the naming rights to the stadium
4. Sold out pitchside advertising with a waiting list now in place (I believe)
5. Deal with Errea that has meant the Club actually have some decent stuff to sell
6. Fan zone which included an open day attended by about 1k

I’m not mentioning things already mentioned such as supporting mental health initiatives, website, Euro’s, training ground etc.

Feels like he is getting the blame for everything at the moment and I’m not sure how fair that is.

I'm in agreement we shouldn't be abusing David Cook as fans, or any other club emoloyee for that matter.

We should acknowledge when he and the board are producing good things.

You've a fair list there, and I think that Alister Burns has been responsible for a fair bit of that. I think he's proving to be an asset. I'll add there's been a real effort to bring about improvements in fan engagement by Drew Main. Our social media content is really starting to improve too. There is an astro pitch in place for training on. All good stuff.

However, I don't like where we're currently sitting with huge losses, an understrength team, no clear strategy on offer, silence from the board at the rising discontent. Some fans have been banging this drum from the early part of this year that we have major issues. Warnings about how things were likely to pan out are coming to fruition. No one I know takes any pleasure in that, in fact it's the very opposite. Given where we were previously then I fully understand fans naturally occurring fears.

I believe the board are working to arrest the situation, which I fully support. Now, if we have to go backwards to come out stronger, then that's what we have to do. At least put that message out there to the fans. Don't sit and tell us sod all.

We shouldn't be in this mess and all the excellent work being done is being undermined, that's the real tradegy in all of this.

I've said it before and I'll keep saying it, when you're in an elevated position within any organisation then you're accountable and judged on your results. Right now we're not producing.

Yes it's uncomfortable and depressing, but let's not cover things up.

Regarding stadium naming rights, personally I'm not bothered if it's called the Disco Deek Arena if it's bringing in good revenue. KDM do a massive amount for the club, a big part of that going unnoticed. Ian Jones is a long term, passionate and committed Pars fan and the club need fans like him.

Fair enough. I strongly disagree, but let's leave it at that. My initial point wasn't really about having this debate again, just noting that, for me, that's where the rot set in. Others are unhappy with other things now, but that was my personal turning point.
