Superally Posted October 28 Report Posted October 28 After Saturdays defeat against the league leaders’ things dont get any better when the Pars face second placed Livi on Tuesday night at East End Park. Livi are looking impressive already in seeking a quick return to the Premier League. While not setting the world on fire they are hugely consistent and quietly going about their business remaining unbeaten in 10 games winning six and drawing four. They are not the highest scorers (14 goals) but they have the league’s best defence (5 goals) The Pars do not have their troubles to seek, inconsistent team selection and a very defensive approach to games. We don’t have the worst defence in the league but along with Airdrie we are the worst in terms of an attacking threat. The disappointment is that if the Pars are behind, we can create chances, but it’s not enough and serious pressure is likely to build if the fans have to suffer more of the same. Our last outing against Livi was a 2-0 defeat and the form guide suggests it’s difficult to predict a positive result for the Pars. McPake might well be having a significant problem on and off the pitch at FT. Quote
Boston Red Sox Posted October 28 Report Posted October 28 Dunfermline are just meh at the moment, rudderless at the upper level and with the coaching. Can’t see past a 2-0 livi win, might just leave this one rather than being let down twice in 4 days Quote
the saline hill puma Posted October 28 Report Posted October 28 probably turn out the usual first half display, tippy tappy pish around the back 4, slow build up play and create nothing before we lose the usual soft goal, come out 2nd half probably making 3 changes and then have a bit more of a go but struggle to create a meaningful chance before we then concede another soft goal. Mcpake will come out and say we deserved more or he got the team selection wrong....then we will train well again before Saturdays game 3 Quote
Yorkie Posted October 28 Report Posted October 28 TSHP- that would be funny if it weren’t so accurate Quote
Maltapar Posted October 28 Report Posted October 28 Should have everyone fit to choose from and playing at home we should expect to see a strong performance by the Pars but Livingston unbeaten this season and conceding few goals will prove hard to beat. I will be more confident if Fogarty starts with Hamilton moved into midfield, and Kane upfront. Quote
Piracy Posted October 28 Report Posted October 28 I might pop along, but the again .... I can't see us getting from it apart a draw at best. Quote
Yorkie Posted October 28 Report Posted October 28 Dont get to see many games with commitments most Saturdays so coming up for this one. Quote
the saline hill puma Posted October 29 Report Posted October 29 i hope we haven't changed to a back 3 again Quote
Al k Posted October 29 Report Posted October 29 Otto and KRH dropped, no Cooper. That teams a ****ing disgrace. No ambition what so ever..... Quote
Boston Red Sox Posted October 29 Report Posted October 29 WTF is going on with Foggarty and Cooper? This guy is a muppet. Quote
SanguinePar Posted October 29 Report Posted October 29 3 forwards on the pitch, so that would seem to signal some attacking intent at least. We'll see what happens. Quote
