They will have it won with plenty to spare. Our form will be the usual huff and puff with the odd good performance to paper over the cracks. The livi result is similar to the utd result last season Quote

First half was very even, and ok to watch I thought. Second half was more of the same, but the game changed on a few key moments - Kane was subbed off injured, then the NW linesman failed to give us a clear corner and Partick broken up the pitch and got a corner, which they scored from. And then Hamilton missed an absolute sitter, followed not long after by Mebude only just failing to get on the end of a superb cross from KRH. Game kind of petered out after that, Thistle did what they needed to to get over the line. Disappointed to lose, but I still think we did ok on the whole, and I hope McPake sticks with this 4-3-3 as it's a lot better to watch and we are a lot more effective. A draw would have been the right result, though if Hamilton had scored, I would have expected us to go on and win the game. On to next week. 2 Quote
Raymie Posted November 2 Report Posted November 2 They didn’t score from a corner. It was a free kick when Ngwenya was comprehensively beaten by their right back. He didn’t need to lunge in, imo 1 Quote
Deutsch Par Posted November 2 Report Posted November 2 Normal service resumed then. Probably won't win a league game for another month now. 2 Quote

Number Eleven Posted November 2 Report Posted November 2 Not a great game today but we can consider ourselves unlucky to lose given the circumstances around the goal. We must take our chances and Hamilton’s miss was dreadful. Quote

Not sure on the second part, but the first part is correct. The drama is games like Livi look like a blip, whereas rubbish like today is the norm. 27 minutes ago, Number Eleven said: Not a great game today but we can consider ourselves unlucky to lose given the circumstances around the goal. Superally Posted November 2 Author Report Posted November 2 Disappointed with the result, didnt think we deserved to lose. After Kane was subbed hat I think we lost our best goal threat but the overall performance although not quite as good as it was against Livi was decent. Both teams cancelled them selves out. That miss from Hamilton was unforgivable and he knew it. 2 Quote
Secure Par Posted November 2 Report Posted November 2 (edited) Untill these German raspers go we are stuck with this ****e! I told everyone 3 seasons ago not to trust them but again got the bad decisions! Edited November 2 by Secure Par Quote

Stop making excuses for the ****e on the touchline and the pitch. They don't miss sitters from 8 yards or give folk a tap in at the back post. That's the useless c**ts on the pitch. **** all the c**ts 1 Quote
Tartan Army Par Posted November 2 Report Posted November 2 (edited) We lost today, because the same problems that we have, other teams do better than us....We don't defend a set-piece and give a cheap goal away yet again (bad coaching), we don't score an absolute sitter from 8 yards that any other team would score (not bad coaching but Chris Hamilton is not a very good footballer and we need to realise this. Snapping at heels doesn't make a good player). That's the difference between us and Partick. Not luck. On top of that we have certain players that we think are good (because the league 1 season) but really are not very good at Championship level. Matty Todd is lost at this level, Comrie yet again was terrible and Hamilton a headless chicken giving fouls away with zero quality to his game. We we're so bad in the last 3rd yet again. Completely toothless without Kane, just hopeful rubbish we've seen most of McPake's tenure. No corner turned, just back to square one again. Another fluke result against Livi I'm afraid. Anybody could be given the Pars manager job for 3 years and have a handful of good games. The manager is hopeless and he needs to go now. McPake out Edited November 2 by Tartan Army Par 1 Quote

We kicked off at 3:04:30 on my watch today. Not uncommon either for some reason, we always seem to start after 3 pm. Anyway, more of the usual from us today. Went direct and quick at times in the second half but other than that we didn't create much. Partick had two good chances and forced Tobi into one good save from one and scored from the other. Small margins and all that. Think the subs made us worse. Todd needs to play in the middle or not at all, he's wasted on the left. Clay and Wotherspoon offered little but stayed on too long. OK Ngwenya gave away the foul for their goal but he was making some really productive runs up the left then he came off just as he was having great success. Anyway, just means we'll be finishing 8th at best I think. Need to make sure we beat Morton and Airdrie, and that we pick up the odd point here and there. Falkirk looking likely title winners just rubs salt in the wound though. Quote
Boston Red Sox Posted November 3 Report Posted November 3 Mcpake can get in the ****in sea. Tuesday read the game and good, today ****ing inept again. We lose our only striker-we put on Todd when Sutherland on the bench. Game needed a bit o2 and KRH but took an age. In the ****in bin with this charlatan. Three ****in years and all we really have is one game v QOS, one v utd and one v livi to think that was football. Oot with this **** Quote

I think he was referring to the fact that we were denied an obvious corner and they went straight up the other end and got the free kick that lead to the goal. 1 Quote
