Maltapar Posted November 17 Report Posted November 17 (edited) Reading the reports of yesterday's match with praise being attributed to various players one player yet again quietly goes about doing his business and that is Tobi in goal. Perhaps only the one save of significance but if that had gone in then the momentum of the game would have changed. This season in the league the Pars have played 14 matches conceding 15 goals. Of these Mehmet played in six games losing nine goals and Tobi now has eight matches losing six goals, a difference of almost a goal a game. Yesterday was also his fourth clean sheet in the league to Mehmet's none. That is before you consider the contribution he makes with his long kicking. In my opinion he is the Pars most important player and I pray that he remains injury free. Edited November 17 by Maltapar 1 Quote
Grant Posted November 18 Report Posted November 18 There's allot of metrics with regards to goalkeepers to try and determine how "good" they are, it's a complicated position. However this got put on PnB and I thought it was interesting. That's a basic metric with regards to how good a shot stopper they are (ignore the market value tab!), but what's massive regards to Tobi is how he prevents the shops from happening in the first place, his aggressive starting position and his ability to rush out and clear balls stops the plays developing. His distribution is something on top of that aswell! Also, Kevin Dabrowski is ****ing pish. Quote
