Our own club has advised Pars fans not to travel today on X.

That, along with this tweet from Ayr makes it look like we're wanting it off.

I don't like it from us tbh, Ayr is fine and the pitch looks good. They will not want to cancel a game this late in the day because they'll be well out of pocket. From our perspective the supporters busses have got through no hassle so why are we struggling?

It's now so late in the day that any fans travelling though will have left, so you're not going to be helping supporters safety by binning it off. Their is maybe an argument that the SPFL should have taken it out of the clubs hands, but looking outside it isn't that bad?

Short delay confirmed, I worry that the game will be much like the Arbroath game a few years ago where we bumped our gums about how it should be off, and it was evident the players heads were up their arse when they came out to play.

The games going ahead, no excuses from us please. Get it won.

No McCann or Fogerty in the squad. Wighton was out anyway.

McCann did seem to have a hamstring twitch at the end of last weeks game. A shame because I was hoping he might actually be on a scoring run which is long overdue.

I am hoping as we all for for a decent performance and 3 points. I suspect it will be a towsy affair with little quarter given. If so I would be looking at Cooper coming on mid second half to add a direct and energetic impact. I like the cut of the lad's jib. Plenty of enthusiasm and positivity. He certainly likes to have a go. COYP.

Statement from club on pusbook

#DAFC are extremely disappointed at the very limited additional time available to prepare for this afternoon's William Hill Championship fixture.

Our team and staff have endured a horrendous journey down to Ayrshire to fulfil our fixture, traveling for over 5 hours. A number of our players also struggled through awful conditions to get to team bus, including one who was involved in a minor road crash. Furthermore, the club had already advised supporters not to travel due to conditions along with Police warnings across the central belt.

As the travel plans caused so much disruption, DAFC requested further time to ensure players could have time for nutrition and subsequent digestion along with adequate time for mental and physical preparation for the match. An extra 45 minutes was defined as adequate - something which the club disagrees strongly on.

We believe that our player's welfare is compromised by this decision.

Finally we would like to thanks all supporters backing the club at Somerset Park and from home this afternoon and wish those returning from Ayr a safe journey home.

I think that's utterly embarrassing tbh. Just get on with the game.

Nah, I like it. How often do fans (of smaller teams in particular) just take what they are given from the authorities with no complaint?

A well worded statement on Monday or Tuesday could of achieved that and there's a massive difference between doing it when the dust has settled and making a rant 5 minutes before KO

I've seen FAR worse statements. Definitely nothing to be "embarrassed" about.
