With the weather warning for Saturday for snow I can see a number of games being called off due to not wanting fans to travel in conditions that could be dangerous. Hopefully if they do so, that announcements can be made early to avoid fans travelling having set off.

The club posted the following on Twitter at 12:20:  "With the current severe weather conditions in and around Fife, and with a duty of care to our fans, #DAFC are advising supporters against traveling to Ayr for this afternoon’s match."

This is ridiculous. Firstly it is far too late as most fans travelling to the match have already set off. Secondly, as a point of principle, if away fans are not able to get to a match safely then the game should be called off regardless of the conditions at the match location. Having the match go ahead in these circumstances encourages away fans to travel at a time when there are weather warnings and police recommendations not to travel.

Why was all the Scottish Championship programme for today not called off when the weather warnings have been known since Wednesday? Doesn't the league have a duty of care? Apart from which, calling games off on the morning of the match means the home clubs have incurred additional costs from doing so that they would not have done if the matches had been called off earlier in the week.
