parsforlife Posted November 23 Report Posted November 23 Many of us are very frustrated at the state of things, but a significant number seem ok with it, a shrug of the shoulders or at worst petty excuses for the club being in the position its in. So why? Why are so many happy with where we are? why are they so desperate to shout down dissent? Why aren't they calling out failure? Quote
DA-go Par Adonis Posted November 23 Report Posted November 23 I don't think anyone is happy at being 9th in the Championship. 3 Quote

da_no_1 Posted November 23 Report Posted November 23 Personally I've accepted nothing will change until the club changes hands. Quote
kelty_par Posted November 23 Report Posted November 23 Excuses were already made before today. Poor effort on the park yet again Quote
Deutsch Par Posted November 24 Report Posted November 24 It is absolutely not acceptable. I don't particularly understand the attempts to justify it myself in all honesty however what can we do, the Germans have wasted everyone's time, but it is everybody else's fault but theirs and they probably won't be heard from until they sell their stake when they will probably come up with more whining about how bad the fans are, the Scottish directors might as well not exist for all they do for the club other than tell the social media staff to release embarrassing statements. We're wasting a six figure salary on Cook and what does he do? That's money that could be used for paying off McPake. For someone that had such an impressive CV he is absolutely useless and I would trust Disco Derek more in his role. Quote
DA-go Par Adonis Posted November 24 Report Posted November 24 (edited) We can put out this team: Tobi Comrie, Bene, Fogarty, Ngwenya Otoo, Hamilton, Wotherspoon KRH, Kane, Mebude It's not Cook's fault that our management team have the side performing like they are. There's more than enough in the squad to have us challenging for the top 4 at least. Edited November 24 by DA-go Par Adonis Quote
kelty_par Posted November 24 Report Posted November 24 Fogarty must be feeling hard done by! Easily looked our best CB and had 45 mins at hampden and that’s it for weeks on end! Only at Dunfermline can you go on international duty and hardly get a sniff since. Playing a back 3 with one recognised CB is laughable too Quote

It's almost like they just run about like headless chickens trying to distrupt the opposition and they end up get played around. KRH is not championship material. And mebude is rank. Skins one player then loses the ball. Quote
DA-go Par Adonis Posted November 24 Report Posted November 24 If we were better coached, all 4 of them would look like Championship players. The manager has more than enough this season. Quote

I think for me it's been over a decade of utter failure that has worn me down. The club has under performed for so long that i'm just more accepting of failure now. I can't support anybody else so I just accept that Pars are perennial underachievers. I grew up through the Leishman years and Paton years and had some fantastic times watching the club we were back then.A real winning and fighting mentality back then. I'm lucky I got to see those days and experience great times. I feel sorry for the younger generation that have never seen the Pars fulfil their potential. Maybe next year or the year after, is my thoughts at the end of each season but it never happens. I have simply lost faith in the people who make the big decisions, whether it's financial or footballing decisions the leadership of this brilliant club has just not been good enough. It's not easy running a football club but smaller clubs seem to do better than us consistently. There is something at the core that just seems to hold us back. I don't know what the answers are so I just keep buying my season ticket and hope that somebody from somewhere can turn our fortunes around and get us back to being the club we once were. 1 Quote
Lochalsh Par Posted November 24 Report Posted November 24 I think underperformance is the biggest issue. A very good stadium and a support that some in the SPL are envious of (St Johnstone etc). A fairly decent team / squad compared to many if the Championship. Why these dire results. When we are good we lose or draw mostly and when we are bad we lose. I am at a loss as to why so many results go against us. We were well beaten by a poor Ayr side on Saturday and that is not an issue. There are a few games we should have won or at least drawn. I will always be a Pars supporter regardless but I really expect at least a bit of effort. There was really little effort yesterday. So disappointed. Quote
