Thankfully the Pars have a break from league action this weekend! Unfortunately we are still playing, and on Saturday the Pars are away to Edinburgh City in the third round of the Scottish Gas, Scottish Cup. While the faithful have a short journey they will be playing in one of the worst stadiums for spectators in the SPFL. Although Edinburgh City sit in 5th place in League 2 there is enough about them to worry the Pars and should not be underestimated. While they are one of the leagues highest scorers with 19 goals, their defence has been terrible and conceded 20 goals. However, they have won their last three games. As for the Pars you just don’t know where to start, will the manager pick the right team & tactics and will the players actually decide to turn up. The inconsistencies in performance has the faithful losing patience. Thankfully the weather predictions are decent for Saturday so there are no excuses. Recently we did well against League 1 side Alloa, so I’m hopeful of a narrow single goal win. COYP

Poor game in a poor stadium with a large smatterings of poor football. Should be a win but who knows?

Wait and see how we get on, up the week after and as it stands unsure i CBA going to the Hamilton game.

Ayr was arguably the worst ever under McPake? We certainly don’t go into this game with any confidence. I can’t see a goal fest, but we should have enough to edge it?

It was the worst I've felt after a game for a long time, but on going there I knew what to expect, a turgid affair in horrible conditions.

Although we're technically two leagues above them, we're only some 15 places above them in the SPFL ladder so it wouldn't be the greatest shock of all time if we were to lose, given we're also conceding home advantage and are not "in a good moment", as the continental managers like to say. Having said that, there can be no excuses for either the team or manager if we can't see them off.

I think we will win comfortably if we score first, but I can see us struggling and desperation setting in if we fall behind. Am I right in thinking it's extra time and pens in the event of a draw?

Normally I'd hope for an easy home game every round, but if we get through I'd genuinely hope for Celtic away so we could get the cash to sack McPake.

If that was to happen it wouldn't be surprised if that cash "disappeared" just like what was earned during the close season.

You mean from the Euros thing? Who says it has disappeared?
