I didn't want to get dragged into this debate, but hey ho....

1. GmbH consists of 11 millionaires and a billionaire, so they hardly need to misappropriate a relatively paltry sum from a provincial, 2nd tier Scottish club.

2. The work once carried out on a voluntary basis by Ross McArthur and Co is now undertaken by a salaried CEO and Commercial Manager.

3. Grant and Hughes had to be paid off and a new management team brought in.

4. Players on Championship contracts had to be paid on League 1 income.

Other reasons have already been intimated in previous posts on this thread.

1. Couldn't give a **** about how rich they are, only judge by their actions and they've regularly shown that they weren't willing to fully fund their fantasy land bull**** and therefore we as a club have suffered as a result.

2. That was a choice by GbMH, at least to some degree.

3. Like it or not paying off managers is an expected business expense in football and 2 managers in 4 years is very much in the expected range.

4. we only ever played league 1 due to the horrendous mismanagement of the club.

So, your stance has moved from not knowing where all the money has gone - and it's now that GmbH should have spent more money to implement their 'vision'.

I think after 24 hours, we're now in agreement.

No, my stance is that there has been money, that would have normally have been spent largely on first team wages and other 'normal' club activities that has been removed from that pot.

i don't know the exact nature of where that's gone cos there's virtually no transparency at the club, but yes the 'vision' may be a good enough general term.  My belief is this shouldn't have happened and that every single penny towards their pet project should have been paid for by them.

Edit- and I agree if the vision had any hope(I still think it would fail) then the level of funds they should of spent is significantly higher, you weren't building a proper training ground on a low 7 figure budget, even if a significant amount is payed by grants. A quick google would have told them that, the fact they came in and said they were going to do that but haven't been willing to spend at the level required suggests they were always wanting others(us?, grants? Other investors?) to cover the shortfall.

Regardless of how we ended up in league 1,

They still spent to get us out going Overbudget.

They then spent cash to get otoo and krh.

Whatever they have spent from day 1. They are probably only going to get half of that back.

Hope they've lost as much as possible.

And if KRH/Otoo compensation was agreed at anything more than the low end of 5 figures sums then that's utter incompetence.

Oh, I think they will recover all of their losses

I do not want to drag this out any more, but they have spent their own money.  If by "pet project" you mean the training ground and youth set up, none of us are really in a position to know whether their own investment is greater, less or equal to the amount that has been spent on this.  So, they might have done exactly as you belief they should have.

Re the first team, I reckon McPake has about as big a first team budget as anyone else in the league this season (maybe aside from Raith).  I am prepared to give him a pass for last season due to the injury crisis, but I think he has got to shoulder the blame for the current position of the team in the table.

Lastly, I think GmbH thought this would all be a better fit.  If they were feeling the love, maybe they would be more prepared to bank roll the club to a greater extent.

To be clear, I think that's on them and not anyone else.  To win hearts and minds, they needed to spend more immediately, even if it was more than they anticipated, and get everything (training ground, youth teams etc.) set up.  If the plan was to "see how it goes", they would have needed to really bank roll the first team.  The choice of manager likely would have put paid to that, however.

I've got a feeling we'll have more than enough to get through this tie. I've also got a feeling the sale of the club will take a bit of time, meaning maybe end of the season. Just a hunch , I've no inside knowledge. I don't think they'll rush it through. They good at that.
