Someone could be leaking to the press as they are worried about the potential new owners.

My first thoughts are that this has got Ivan bonetti and Claude anelka written all over it.

Or someone could be leaking to the press because they're motivated politically out of self interest.

Regardless of their motive it is betraying a level of trust.

Call me old fashioned but I reckon integrity still counts for something nowadays.

We've got "Pars-minded" people involved in the running of the current shambles & we've had them in complete control in the past. They nearly killed the club altogether.

Agreed, Yorkston and Masterton (apparently) were Pars fans. The current board is full of Pars fans.

The pair nearly killed us, and the current incumbents don't exactly having us looking upwards. A fresh perspective might not be the worst thing.

.

That was my first thought tbf. From the rumours their were a few interested parties, perhaps one of the other parties who don't look to be successful have went to the press?

As mentioned, Tony Bloom is well known for playing poker, so I've no problem with that per se.

The bigger issue is the complete lack of track record when it comes to running a football club.

Looks like a potential disaster to me.

The drama we have is anyone with a good track record of running a football club isn't going to be looking at us.

Right now I think we're lacking effective leadership.

I think what's probably leading decision making on club related matters is in some cases political.

As a fan I don't know who's really in charge of the club. I don't know the square root of sod all about what's going on or where we'll end up.

Pars United, are they?, or indeed, are we? ....f*ck knows anymore.

The first question should be, does he like a gamble? I know the answer, or mibbae I'm bluffing. 2nd question, should I stick or twist?

Keeping an open mind because ultimately, no white knight is coming to any Scottish club, let alone Dunfermline Athletic, with bags of cash and bank-rolling success. It just doesn't happen and if it did, I'd probably be more worried - almost certainly to fail or eventually pull money leaving us in the absolute ****. What matters isn't money, but execution - will they foster a board that is present and engaged, will they give greater priority to the first team, will they set a realistic but higher bar for success. None of these things requires tonnes of cash but they require the right people executing on strategy.

Biggest concern right now is that this looks like a continuation of GmbH, which isn't automatically a bad thing (I liked the motivation and the intent), but will be pretty disappointed if it manifests itself in same way - running club at arms length, little understanding of Scottish game, over-emphasis on youth.

If they can get a fresh team on the board, reboot the coaching team, look and act like they are interested and set some encouraging but realistic minimum expectations, I'd be pretty happy.

That article just demonstrates how journalists fill in gaps to make it sound like they are in the know.

First of all, every single team in Scotland already uses Data Analysis in regards to their Sports Science, including us, even as far down as the Lowland League.

Secondly, the part about gambling not being allowed as part of the fit and proper test is utter bollocks as well. That already applies to every single person involved with any club all the way down to junior level and has done for decades.

Lots of filler and speculation on show based around the fact someone found his name and googled him with little to no substance in any deal in anything I’ve read so far so I’m going to wait and see what the outcome is before I declare any worry, joy, elation or horror.

You seem to be assuming it's come from the club and not from the potential investors? They could have leaked something to see how the fans would react? Test the waters so to speak. It's a tale as old as time.
