I get the board and McPake are pish but I would think a lot of the players are out of contract at the end of the season so these guys should be either playing their hearts out each game to get a new contract or trying their hardest for a team to sign them next season? 🤷🤷

I don't believe the players aren't trying their best, I just think they don't trust the game plan(if there even is one)

I don't believe they are training at an intense level with and without the ball.

There is no real urgency in our game plans, again with and without the ball.

What we see is a product of the training pitch.

If this level of performance is then trying their best they need to hang up the boots. Not one player has stepped up on the park and taken responsibility on the ball for months

It's the boards fault we have Mcpake,

Way too simplistic.

Anyway, the guys gone now, and it's no doubt it's the right decision. But I do feel sorry for a guy with young bairns being paid off 2 days before Christmas.

The Board are culpable or indeed ultimately responsible in our failures. They could have made a decision to relieve the guy weeks ago, but, they didn't.

Given the sh*tshow this season it must have been extremely difficult to manage the team given the circumstances. That's not an excuse but it's definitely a contributory factor in my opinion.

Tbh I was always more concerned about the 3 seasons of high level of consecutive losses, the lack of clarity on that. The apparent lack of a cohesive and planned strategy for the club. The abysmal communication from the owners. The continual rumours of how unhappy volunteers and some staff were. The non-attendance at matches from the owners. Have they ever spoken to the previous Board members for advice, maybe asking Ross McArthur for example. Who knows, but for me they've let themselves and the club down as we're not in a good place at all. That's with them, nobody else. They're sitting at the top table and under any circumstance in life that's where responsibility and accountability sit. Behaviours, workplace culture and implementation should come down from the top, I know that much.

To be fair, prior to the Rovers game we had won 4 matches out of 5 (and 5 out of 8), so there was at least a reason to give him more time and see if a turnaround really was taking root.

Having squandered that with the last two results, I guess they felt that his time was up.

Yeah you're correct, but for me it was never going to last for him. I think the rot set in long before, and I'm blaming McPake. I like the guy and hope he prospers.

The board failed massively in not making the league Cup failure the final straw. But that would've required admitting they were wrong.

They were too busy thinking about their exit strategy.

If they realised their mistake sooner they might have still been able to realise their dream of having a cut price team at the top table.

I'm still convinced that this squad is good enough for the top half of this table. Maybe not this year as the damage is done.

But if we get the right manager we can compete easily.

I now hoping that the new owners are a success and GMBH are left gutted in a few years time thinking what could've been.

Whoever was funding the project has obviously decided enough is enough.

We might find their was a split in GMBH. To be a fly on the wall as they say
