Ian Murray normally gets his teams playing decent attacking football. I think he is the standout obvious choice for us.

I'm normally a don't care how we win type person but after 2 and a half years of McPake ball I really want to see somebody that's going to attack teams. It has been so boring going to East End Park since probably AJ in the 2017/18 season.

Thanks for the league title, but it’s been dull football since.  Despite various factors for the football and recruitment, it’s a results business and the inevitable has now happened.  I wonder if the wee team’s manager also going just speeded things up?

either way, a good time to get a new boss in place, as long as he gets some money for the January window.

Good luck in the future to them both.  What’s next for the Pars?  Reserve team coach for Friday.

Questionable timing in that it is only 2 days to Christmas however it's a decision that probably should have been made in the close season.

Birthday caird pish.

I know loads if folk who've been punted at this time of year. Why should fitba managers be any different?

No I'll will to McPake or McKay. Stelar first season with a promotion. But a horrible injury crisis throughout the 23/24 season made things very difficult. I dont think the current board should be proud of their support and for me its clear he has been limited in what he was able to do, especially with signings. However this season he should have done much better with the resources he had and just like Allan Johnston tenure he ran out of ideas. You cant argue the decision it was correct.

Here's a leftfield name (and unlikely to be attainable) - John Kennedy from Celtic.  Has been No.2 under several successful managers at Parkhead, and might fancy a shot at being his own man?

Whomever is the new manager, good luck, win us games and bring a stick to gee up some of the players who we know can play a lot better than they have recently.

Definitely need an immediate and positive reaction from the players.  All it takes is to string a couple of decent performances and results together to kickstart the season.  Be interesting to see how 'fired up' they are on Friday night

Billy Davies would be good with his managerial record but been out the game so long it would be a concern

It's more why he's been frozen out for so long that'd be the concern, as he's got a pretty good CV.
