Absolutely no way should we entertain Naismith. Clueless

I agree. He'd be a disaster.

Has he got any coaching or managerial qualifications whatsoever?, sure Hearts had issues with that in Europe.

Was it not a carry on Frankie McAvoy claiming he was the manager? I think he eventually got the correct license for managing in Europe in the end. I wouldn't want him here.

Personally, if money was in reasonable supply from any prospective new owners, then I would love to see Alex Neil appointed.

My understanding is that our prospective new owners got the nod because they gave GmbH what they wanted, leaving less to invest in the Pars, so we won't be awash with cash.

That would mean no change GG?
Surely a new owner wants to stamp their own style, and that means making changes to how they see the club being run, including the player and coaching staff?

Anyway, Merry Xmas to Pars fans everywhere - and let’s look forward to a new chapter and a Guid New Year!!

Was the figure they wanted not around 2.5 million or higher?

Well that'll probably be around £4 million I'd guess.

Lots of negativity amoungst the support for him.

Personally I don't mind, hes doing a decent enough job with Kelty Hearts who were expected to freefall through the league's after the departures the season before. Assuming there were would need to be some form of compensation as hes in contract? Unless theres a clause for a F/T team coming in?

Record and Sun both reporting that we are in for ex Celtic player Michael Tidser.

Did he even play a first team game for them?

Billy Davies would be an amazing appointment for me.  A guy with a depth of knowledge and experience coaching some big clubs.

There are obviously some skeletons in his closet however, which have kept him out of a job for a while now.

Lennon would interesting but divisive and not sure he'd get long from the fans.

Darren Young deserves a mention, and I guess Murray is obvious as he's available.

If it is Tidser, then we need to put our faith in Cook and his process to have chosen the right man, and get fully on board

A few guys on dotnut bumping their gums about Tidser not having much experience in management.  I pointed out that two of the most successful managers in the Pars history, Jock Stein and Jim Leishman, had no previous experience whatsoever.

Everybody is entitled to their opinion but I think Tidser could be a good choice. Seems very highly rated amongst not only the Kelty support but fans of other League 1 clubs. Seems to like attacking football, which is a breath of fresh air after 2 and a half years of pretty boring football.

Like you say, some of Pars best managers have come with no experience at all. You can add Jim McIntyre to that list, who was the last manager to get us to the Premiership. Tidser arrives with a successful 20 months in management under his belt. I would like to see an experienced assistant coming in with him.

I think that's where the gamble lies with relatively inexperienced managers.  They might be brilliant and there's no way you'd get them if you waited until they prove themselves. But they might not be ready if they ever will be.

Theres a gamble on experienced guys too tho,  if they are available for a club like us that means they have a significant amount of failure on there CV and your gambling on us being one of their success stories.
