Do you think you are competent at walking through door ways? I think I am incredibly good at it, I do it dozens of times a day and have done for many years, I still **** up that incredibly simple task though. It kinda sways it more from an incompetence issue especially when you have the benefit of video replays etc. But yes. Questioning the officials does please the support who have just lost a trophy and also sways the the refs in the next match. Therefore it's a no brainer to make these statements. No brainer ornot, Mike, if anyone alleged that I was a cheat because I made a mistake, I'd be raging. It's quite a quantum leap to say that because Willie Collum said it was a 100% wrong decision, that these two men deliberately denied Rangers a penalty. I think it's far more likely that they misinterpreted the rule - it's complicated enough. They may have decided that because the foul started outside the box, it was a free kick. Obviously the rule has now changed but they went along with the ref's decision. That happens quite a lot in the PL. You often here, it's one of those, if the ref had given it, VAR wouldn't have overturned it.Far more plausible than a deliberate decision of cheating. By the way, Willie Collum, is running scared of Rangers fans. He is known to be a Catholic and therefore automatically assumed to be anti-Rangers, in the same way that Celtic fans are convinced that John Beaton is a Rangers fan because he allegedly drinks in a Rangers pub. I'm glad we're well out of all that nonsense here in West Fife. Quote

I don't think the rule has changed? Not in any time I remember, holding has always been considered a foul until the point it stops, it would be rather silly for you to hold onto a shirt at the halfway line and let go after giving a hefty tug a lot later and give the free kick on halfway. More likely it was thought the swipe was wrongly reason for the free kick and VAR mentally switched off after that. I wish we were out of conspiracy land, we're far from it. Quote
Eastendtales Posted December 26, 2024 Report Posted December 26, 2024 Oh poor poor wee Sevco. The club that demands everything goes in its favour or you're a massive Catholic cheat. Fck them as a club, as a fanbase and as an establishment. 1 Quote

If the ref blew his whistle before the Rangers player moved into the box, he can't award a penalty because play stops immediately. I don't know if that was the case. Has John Beaton been asked to explain why he didn't award a penalty? Quote
