And even if the player doesn't believe that, they've got their career to think about and they need to look as good they can going into the shop window. It's not uncommon, the majority of players at this level live contract to contract. We're obviously not a bad option to play at home given our away record, but that's not cos we're dunfermline. The whole 'we're the team to play in a slump' is repeated by fans of just about every club, and never backed by any actual stats. Aye, but we’ve yet to win an away game this season so there’s that. Agree with this, I would add that we have never really been "turned over" by any team this season most defeats we have lost by a single goal and we have only lost by 2 goals on four occasions. Only Falkirk have scored 3 goals against us.. I think we have a decent middle of the table team we just need a confidence lift coupled with a wee run of positive results Quote
da_no_1 Posted January 2 Report Posted January 2 So who's taking the team for this one? Gary Oakey? Sir David Laming? Quote

Todd and KRH have also not been performing very well at this level. Also have Kane who is rarely available. A lot of these players would struggle to find a championship team if released, maybe Airdrie/Hamilton would pick them up. We don't have a player for example like Easton (can be hot and cold), who can turn the magic on. The club needs a clear out from the top to the bottom! Quote

I agree we need major improvements across the board, But on the playing side this is our major flaw. I think 90% of our team are ok, if their set up well. Yes you list players that you think aren't great and folk would remove some or add others, of your list a large amount rarely play for example. There's no one that will win a tight game for you. Of the top 5, most have 2 who'd say are of that higher quality and then you have rovers who have a few but injury prone and poorly managed and hamilton with shaw who isn't consistent enough. kelty_par Posted January 2 Report Posted January 2 If the squads nowhere near as bad as made out, why are we sat 2nd bottom then? It’s not all mcpakes fault. Some of these players have been here under 2/3 managers. Right good few in that squad who aren’t good enough for championship 1 Quote

End of season, wherever we end up, get offloaded or let's do swaps. Quote
rosythpar Posted January 2 Report Posted January 2 If the new American owners want to move the club forward they need to make big changes. The first thing needed done is every Scottish based director needs to go (should have been the first thing Fussball GMBH done.) Too many hangers on around the club. We then need to most importantly survive in the league and then have a big clear out of players in the summer! The only way the club will move forward. 1 Quote
da_no_1 Posted January 2 Report Posted January 2 (edited) We won't be having a clear out that you demand. A manager with better tactics, formations etc will be appointed which will help the players we have. He'll also hopefully stick to the same team for more than 1 game. FWIW Tobi, Bene, NGenwa, Comrie, Otoo, Hamilton, Todd and Kane are all Championship players. No other championship clubs have a player like Easton so that's a bit irrelevant. You think guys like Thomas or Graham aren't match winners to the same extent as Easton? Pish. Quote
