Some interesting stats on the BBC preview of the match. Assuming they are correct, of course.

Even though I think it's widely accepted that attacking is our weakest aspect, these stats actually suggest we're not so far behind Patrick in that respect.

Instead, where we're failing (in comparison to Thistle anyway) is in our defence, with too many goals conceded and too many points lost after being ahead.

Obviously this is just one comparison, and not very scientific, but I wonder if the more defensive approach we often adopted under McPake actually just encouraged teams to attack us more? Although, possibly being more defensive prevented these stats being even worse.

To put another thought forward, Partick have been ahead more than us so they'll have sat back more? Whereas with us chasing the game so much this season we'll be going to the end trying to get a goal, often with fairly poor quality of chances.

Another huge game today. Despite a hard won point last week we are falling behind the group ahead. Can we bring the same determination and passion and add more creativity and composure. We managed a good win at Firhill last season with a cobbled together team in poor form so hopefully we can take 3 points again.

KRH has lost his confidence to take on a man since coming back from his injuries. Hopefully new manager will reinstall some belief and confidence into KRH.

While he does seem to be struggling with confidence, what doesn't help is the lack of the support. The difference in Falkirks wingers receiving the ball following a big switch to isolate them against the full back, with their own full back supporting them on the overlap is miles ahead of us taking an age to get the ball to Krh, with Comrie then providing scant support.

It'll be interesting to see where he plays, Cooper was playing pretty centrally against Falkirk.
