Piracy Posted January 8 Report Posted January 8 There's no way this game will be on. Although I hope I'm wrong on that front. Quote
kelty_par Posted January 8 Report Posted January 8 Morton v Raith moved to Sunday and livi v Airdrie is now Tuesday night. Wonder if we will follow suit and move it too as no chance it’ll be on. Maybe suits us being rearranged to February / march time Quote
Superally Posted January 8 Author Report Posted January 8 Would like to see our game go on. If postponed I would be worried that we would lose momentum and the benefit of a new manager bounce with our next league game against Airdrie on the 25th Feb. We have a cup game against Stenny on the 18th but the league is the most important match. It would be ideal if a midweek game could be arranged but its important that the momentum and confidence we have built up is not lost before we play Airdrie Quote
DA-go Par Adonis Posted January 8 Report Posted January 8 More chance of retaining momentum by playing Stenny than Ayr. Might suit us to postpone it. Quote
GG Riva Posted January 9 Report Posted January 9 That`s a real shame. The cost of having the USH on since Tuesday will run into thousands of £s. A gamble that hasn`t paid off. Dawned if you do, dawned if you don't. Quote
Al k Posted January 9 Report Posted January 9 I'd rather we just didn't use it at all. Unless theres a big away support. Completely pointless expense in the majority of championship games. 1 Quote

I get where you're coming from but the club probably believe that the drop in income due to playing midweek instead of Saturday is even greater than the cost of the oil burned. Eta. The club has now been hit with a double whammy. The USH bill plus the loss at the turnstiles. Edited January 9 by GG Riva Quote
Superally Posted January 9 Author Report Posted January 9 Good that it has been rescheduled so quickly, I was worried about the loss of momentum following recent goods results against Falkirk and Partick 1 1 Quote

the saline hill puma Posted January 9 Report Posted January 9 Would be better getting a decent set of covers for the pitch rather than relying on USH imo Quote

Below that it's a lottery. One thing is certain - we can't afford to rip it out and replace it with the latest all singing/ eall dancing version. Some fans think the new investors will be splashing significant sums of money around. I'd love to think they will but I very much doubt it. Quote

They are rumoured to be making funds available for three players when they are approved to takeover. They will spend more money on the playing side than what the Germans did. 1 Quote
