I've no idea if Burrell would be any good for us.  He looks like he is a bit of a handful if utilised properly but didn't ever cement a place in the Falkirk starting XI.  One thing I would say though is that I'd trust McPake & Co if they did sign him.  As he said on Open Goal the other night, we've only made 3 permanent signings since he joined - Little the sub keeper being one, with Benedictus and Hamilton being the others.  Pretty good record in the loan market too.

I think Burrell flatters to deceive, went to the Falkirk Airdrie game last week and he was anonymous and by all accounts he has spat the dummy out at Falkirk the sort of character we dont have in our dressing room at the moment.

I think the teams we face this time round are more robust and we had an absolute star striker in Fass in AJ's team. However I think this team is more resilient and the unity is greater. McPakes team edges it for me

Agree with this, Wighton has been good but i do think we have missed a top quality striker, we have missed a lot of chances or Strikers have not moved enough to get on the end of thingd

I don’t think McGowan has been forced into the starting 11, I’d have thought the main aim of starting him last week was for experience with bene out.   I think with bene back available I’m not sure what he adds,  I know mcpake likes him a lot but I think his lack of game time is an acknowledgment that he knows that McGowan hasn’t got long left and that a contract offer, which almost seemed inevitable when he joined may not be such a good idea.

He dosnt give the ball away to be fair but he also isnt very dynamic anymore, dosnt drive with the ball or take chances with forward passes its all sideways keep the ball type stuff.

Good.  That’s exactly the impression I got of DT.  I remember him being taken off at QOS by Crawford and his reaction just screamed out that he was poison - wasn’t just the two managers after him that had the problem.  His behaviour at the end of last season also sat really uncomfortably with me.

and it only takes 1 bad apple, a big part of this Team's success is the Team spirit and how well the boys get on (Including the loans boys) heard they were all out celebrating in Edinburgh yesterday and have a few days in Spain booked when the season is over. Not every team has that kind of camaraderie

Airdrie may not be able to overtake Falkirk, but they'll be wanting to ensure they finish above Alloa to avoid having to play a team from the Championship in the semi-final. It also depends on how strong a team James McPake puts out. I rather fancy he will rest some of our most regular starters and give a few fringe players a chance to shine.

It's also likely that our players will suffer a reaction from their efforts v QOS and are unlikely to be as up for this fixture. I'd never bet against the Pars but if I did, this would be an ideal time to make a few quid.

more like suffer a reaction to how ****ed they were

I also think a big improvement in the training facilities working at Pitreavie Astro has made a difference aswell.
iv watched a few training sessions and they are all high tempo with a few laughs which keeps the atmosphere good.
watched one finishing exercise and tbh a ball boy should have been present in the golf course with Todrovs strikes😅

That astro is crap and a few players have had problem because of it, fulltime pros shouldn't be training on Astro every day it will shorten their careers.

Exactly, and 11 points ahead or not, winning this game drives a sword through the heart of their title challenge once and for all, leaving them coughing up blood and gasping for breath, albeit not quite dead yet. This is still a huge game.

even a loss is not the end of the world

Exactly this. We’ve never addressed the lack of wingers issue all season. Don’t see what McDonald has done wrong to fall out the team altogether as he’s probably the best crosser of the ball we have yet can’t get any gametime

    in a word Kane

I know a few people who have booked hotels up in Peterhead in anticipation that we are going to win the league on the 11th. The Rosyth supporters bus is full and we have had that much interest we probably could have filled another mini bus.

    I'll booked the strippers

Neither do I. I said they're like Edinburgh in that they'll be hard to beat. They can't play for a point at home.

I think we run out of ideas when a team does that to us, we just work it to the side and cross it in. If you have a defence thats good at heading the ball back out. Thats why Todorov is a good foil to come on for this. It also explains why our away record is so much better than the home one.
