  1. I asked your question on Wednesday night re the police and the answer from Billy Braisby was that they are having a meeting next week with the safety manager and police to ascertain what is going on. The club were unaware of a lack of police / stopping of traffic outside the stadium.
  2. On COWS: https://dafc.co.uk/story.php?t=Club_Statement&ID=13462
  3. The parts that were cringeworthy to me were the age old “big club” and the “back where we belong” mantra. I’ve heard this 100 times by different managers. The “have a dream” line he used several times was also up there. **I get it. He’s passionate about his new job and wants to impress the fans.** I didn’t have a problem with his involvement with the new training facilities, academy etc, and it was interesting to hear about the way he looks at the opposition in a build up to games. His 18 years of managerial experience will be a boost to us. I did actually stick my hand up a few times during the course of the “second half” but Steven Mills, on the mic, was on a roll. I actually like his style.
  4. Join us tomorrow for the Dunfermline Athletic FC & The Pars Foundation Walking and Talking Down The Halbeath Road event. Meeting at outside East End Park 10.00am, for a gentle stroll around the public park. Open to all you don'tneed to support the Pars to take part. If this is a benefit to a friend, family member feel free to come along with them. Teas and coffees afterwards #SmallTalkSavesLives
  5. I had to gloss over a lot of what our new manager said as I felt it was cringeworthy I’m sorry to say. I was also wondering about the lack of fan engagement, Piracy. There were no answers to that - just the usual huff and puff. Which is fine with the positive spin but actions have to take place. As much as I’d like to have asked (and I did feel a lot was covered by the floor) it did feel a lot like pulling teeth. I was inadvertently hindered by adverts losing my text, being ****ed off by a friend who thought my multitasking was poor, and having no time for my tea. My belly was rumbling throughout!
  6. I was only able to ask one question - re the police issue on Saturday evening post match. There were so many questions taken from the floor - in previous meetings there’s only been around 30-40 folk in attendance but tonight close to 150 were there. I felt the majority of questions raised on dotnet and here were covered in the meeting. If only all of it had appeared - problems with adverts and connectivity hampered me tonight.
  7. Please post your questions underneath. One question per poster thanks. I will endeavour to ask as many as possible but please be aware that i may not be able to. I will reply, on the main thread on DAFC.net football forum, as soon as they become available. Please also be respectful- inappropriate questions / comments will not be addressed (unless I’ve had a few glasses o wine first and they come fae me!). 🖤🤍❤️
  8. Good stuff guys. It’s nice to meet lots of different folk and not necessarily pars fans. There’s 16 here today which is great. Ian from the Pars Foundation is giving us the lowdown on what he does as a coach with the kids, mini kickers and the community teams East End Boys. Telling us Matty Todd came through the Foundation classes. He also spoke of the high level of girls who are now taking part in the fleet ground training. The Foundation relies on Sport Scotland and summer camps etc for financial support. A breezy morning, a good walk along the old railway line - Robertson Rd - through the cemetery and back to EEP.
  9. I miss my seat in the second last row in the Norrie - and despite the blooming pillar being in the way at the 25 yard mark for a free kick at the Cowden end I’m happy in the main stand ~ in the body o the Kirk - in the Pb.
  10. Eddie Martin is the DAFC mental health ambassador, and has teamed up with DAFC and The Pars Foundation to promote mental wellness and health by walking, and talking, on organised walks. At present they take place on a Friday morning 10am-11am, starting from various places in Dunfermline. I’ll update on the venues every week. The walks are free and open to all - not just Pars fans - and there are refreshments (cup of tea and biscuits) at EEP after. Tomorrow’s walk starts from EEP and takes in the old railway line to the rear of the North Stand. Come and take in some chat, and fresh air, with fellow fans and a few well kent faces too.
  11. I’ll be there providing a live updates service - taking questions from both DAFC.net and East End Bounce - and will be writing a thread on the football forum on .net. I’ll open it at 6pm on the night. I’ll start a separate thread on here so you can get your questions in - it’ll make it easier for me to read. cheers.
  12. One is back in the pub 😂 happy pars fans everywhere up here
  13. two wrongs don’t make a right though AlwaysAPar and there’s a more professional way to deal with players’ grievances. Yogi’s first interview :
  14. Let’s hope it’s ICT yogi not Rovers yogi. I’m not convinced publicly flogging your players makes a good manager, despite his success at other clubs. As long as he can instil confidence in a team which badly needs it, gets us off and away from the foot of the table and brings the fans back. Time will tell. 🖤🤍❤️
  15. If it’s the same person as I came up against Digs, I blocked him too. His argument failed when he resorted to childish name calling. No substance to his crap retorts.
  16. Always a gentleman and a smiling face. Where would be without him? Huge shoes for someone else to fill I wish him and his family all the best, and hopefully see him in the NW soon.
  17. As someone who now works for a German owned company - in my short time here already - I have viewed how they operate and communicate with their staff, from both shop floor to office employees. It’s not ongoing or engaging in any sense of the words - it’s matter of fact, make points, and, excuse the pun, black & white. Perhaps the club’s owners are not the same, as the original board members, in their transparent communication with the fans / engaging regularly etc. Perhaps they just work differently, and we’re all going about this as if they should be the same. I’m not suggesting excuses for the badly worded statement or the silence ~ just a different outlook for different people. Hopefully the Supporters Council Meeting will shed some light and provide some answers.
  18. What a load of pish SP. Put the rod away. Not one person is happy with a draw. People can describe how the team play in each game - or not say a word and keep their anger and disappointment to themselves - but that’s not the same as accepting the results we’re getting. I want nothing more than PG to get out. He’s doing nothing to give our team the confidence and belief that they can score, and win, IMO.
  19. It’s all about getting it out before everyone else has a go, though, isn’t it? I don’t like it one bit despite folk telling me it happens everywhere these days. Whoever leaks information from a professional club makes it look amateur and can subsequently put off potential future investment imo. Ross doesn’t deserve any of this. I truly feel for him, and his family.
  20. It’s chuffin freezing and I’ve nae jaiket Mon the Paaaaars!
