The only positive argument on where’s the money going is that we’ll suddenly have a world class academy which will fund itself as well as a good first team.

I’m far from convinced that will work.

I don't think thats ever been a claim out with stuff I'm being told halfwits are posting on dotnet. Not a dig at you. Its about being sustainable. People get a bit carried away.

Its a training facility to bring everyone together 1st through the different ages levels (or academy). The short fall is we aren't paying to use other facilities so that should pay the losses after 3/4 years (on my assumption) on charges elsewhere and that the facilities will pay for themselves in the long run, the hope is bring players through for the 1st team and then hopefully creating players we can sell on.

We are also looking to bring in other young players to move on (KRH, Otto and Fisher as examples).

The assumption of a world class academy your right it will fail, we aren't Liverpool, Man city, Man u etc.... Rangers MK2 and Celtic can't do with even more money.

Have to say I'm disappointed by 6th place, We should have had 5th sorted three games ago and frankly I think we have bottled it.

Management did, not sure about the team. Granted 1/3 of the squad sadly aren't good enough the tactics have been shocking. Fair enough being cautious when players were out, theres been no justification since the main ones came back.

All the talk of big summer ahead hasn't come across as massive squad changes, I think hes telling the players to adjust to the formation and tactics.

If so hes ****ing against the wind. I hope I'm wrong, I'd have bit your hand off for 6th at the start of the season, feel like we've shot ourselves in the foot every chance of top 4. A couple of contracts, Summer window, injuries, jan window, injuries, tactics, loan window and again tactics.

    Any word on Memhet?

Looking at McPakes comments, I think he was looking to rest some of the players returning from injury as they looked tired and performance levels had dropped. Hence no Bene, KRH, Todd and Jakubiak.

Thats fair enough, Holmes tho and the Chalmers/Allan combo. Not so much.

Whilst he’s not been great, one thing that can’t be levelled at MOH is his work rate

Exactly, its hard to judge when hes hardly played in his position too. Pars fans love the lazy tag. Mccann, Wighton and Chalmers get it at some point.

I wouldn't describe any of those lazy.

  5. I'd like to keep Allan, he offers a bit more than Chalmers, younger and far better with set pieces. Jakubiak I think offers us more than Wighton (Hard to judge but mostly injured in some form) or Mccann (Needs some decent coaching).

unfortunately its Wighton and Chalmers who still have contracts.

Benjamin, Holmes, Summers and Moffat. The first two aren't anywhere near any standard for this level, Summers doesn't fit in at all bit like Mochrie last season. Moffats very fleeting but in the wrong position.

Kane and MFW would be keeps if possible and Miles would be good but only on a free.

Memhet we are stuck with for now, I though Little was out of contract this year?

O'Halloran is a paradox, why did we sign him? He's not a wing back and we won't play him up front.

  6. Safe but Christ the 50 odd minutes I caught was utterly grim.

Get this football and shape to ****, theres more chance of us losing than winning playing that way. Would like MFW and Kane to stay. The rest can go, Miles I would take if he were to be released.

Thank god we are safe now, get some of the young ones in for next week.

Just watched the highlights there & seeing the boys lift that trophy fair brings a smile to my perma-crabbit pus. They did the club proud, hopefully not for the last time!

As for McCann I desperately want him to be a success at the Pars. He's still relatively early in his career although it seems like an age since he broke into the first team (2018?)

I hope we don't give up on him just yet. Wish we had the means to afford a strikers' coach like the Craw, I feel like he improved Nisbet as a player during his brief spell at the Pars & might do the same with Lewis.

Exactly that, he needs coaching. I've always said theres a player there. You just feel like he always chooses the wrong option. One of those chances on Sat should have been buried, his heading should be something he looking at from his own point of view. I don't know if he closing his eyes but its terrible.

Since the missed penalty against rovers hes been completely missing. Like a few at the moment just needs the season to finish and start again in the summer.
