I think it might be worth pointing out the training base and the academy are two seperate things(albeit connected). The germans investment was to build the training facility and once its built we would save costs on renting pitches etc although we would have maintenence and upgrade costs as time goes on. The academy will use it but will have a large cost going forward. Obviously though we hope it pays for itself in the form of better facilities for attracting better players and producing players we can maybe sell. I suppose if the germans investment and the additional funding they now have pays for that facility its a bit of a no lose.

Agreed Albeit we all know that even the most sensible people in the world can turn mental when it comes to football🤣. From all my time following the pars theres always been an air of desperation and nervousness. Either trying to get promoted, stave off relagation, clamour to get to a cup final or europe. We have hardly ever had a season where there wasnt that desperation there for some reason. There are far more important things in the world....but in saying that it does take up more of my thinking capacity than it should.
