Parsforlife, you are correct.  Rosyth Fc were used as part of the initial bid to look like the local team and community would have some involvement in the facility and thereafter that blows any other bid out of the water. The goalposts then change when it becomes the preferred bid and thanks to the German investors flashing the cash it becomes a commercial decision not a community one and the Pars have sole control of the lease and intend only for their elite kids and youths using it , sod everyone else .

Imagine if any of the old firm teams (or indeed any other professional outfit) fancied it for a Fife academy for themselves and outbid everyone else would people be happy just to accept that ?

Everything for the first team, including the gym is also moving there.

EEP will be used only on match days it would appear.

We also start pre season training there next month!

Yet still not a single plan lodged with Fife Planning.

Don't twist things. I'm not defending poor decision making, just like I'm not buying your theory about deliberate skullduggery at it all being a plan. You're also making accusations about individual board members integrity being at the very least questionable. That's none too clever being honest.

It was the same question asked by hundreds of fans at the time debated heavily, continued to be questioned until the day he was sacked! Why was he employed in the 1st place? The other question asked which also went unanswered who else applied for the job?

So the Germans came in and asked RM ,who is the worst manager in our league? RM said that would be PG. Meggle and Co said its important that we get relegated Ross, but don't worry,  you'll get a wee pay out at the end of it, all you have to do is keep it to yourself. Mon noo, I dinnae buy that.

Scott I don’t buy it either, but why did we hire the worst manager in the championship, just relegated Alloa, we never interviewed anyone else 🤷🏼‍♂️

It was poor decision making with both managers. There's no way those running our club would ever entertain a plan as you have suggested. To call the boards integrity into question the way you have is wrong. You're of course entitled to your opinion but the accusations are not credible, unless you can prove otherwise.

As said above we employed a championship manager who could only beat us and lost to almost every other team! Without interviewing a single other candidate! Does that not ring alarm bells, we kept him in place far longer than we should it lead to the fans turning on RM! It was sickening watching what was happening to our club and you are still defending it? 🤷🏼‍♂️

I think it's more likely it was just bad decision making around picking a manager than some grand conspiracy to get a lidl into the town. I'm open minded to hear theories as I am skeptical of the Germans but I don't see how in any way any of this makes sense. I think you are on the wind up

🤣🤣🤣 his record was clear the only team he could beat was us, and so it continued! Facts!

Must be in desperate need of a store in Dunfermline with the Parent Group revenues for 2020-21 only being around 125.3 billion Euro.....

Nothing wrong with being cautious/ sceptical but don't see this being a likely scenario what with the club not being the owner of the stadium.

It’s not Lidl it’s Kaufland they want to bring! If I remember correctly Tescos paid £5m for Love Stree and paid to build there new stadium on land they secured prior to the deal!

The board have not set out with a deliberate intention to have us relegated. That is without doubt utter drivel. Sorry, but that's not true.

You are entitled to your opinion but take stock how the season panned out and the general consensus Grant was left in charge too long and the damage done was proven to be irreversible! The fact we took a manager in the 1st place who had just relegated Alloa and no-one else was interviewed! Utter bizarre! We hired a manager who had just relegated a club to the 1st division what actual ambition did it show?

  8. We have no sugar daddy guys, staying full time is risky, paying bills  at 2 sites and remaining full time is a non starter!

Makes perfect sense to have a purpose built astro stadium, with all the facilities in one place!

Answers all the above doubts and why have this massive burden in EEP that we use for 2 hours 20 odd times a year!

  9. 2 minutes ago, Piracy said:

I struggled with that as well, then dismissed it as complete nonsense.

Quite simple, in the Championship with ambitions to be promoted a 12000 stadium would be beneficial if we were to get promoted to accommodate large away crowds who love EEP. Resigning us to the seaside league being forced to cut budgets with little prospect of being an SPL team soon makes it far easier to make that decision and move now! It will be virtually enforced anyway. What other club in the 1st division is full time with a 12000 seater stadium which has long past been an SPL requirement!

Do you think Ross is aware of these plans to turn East End into a supermarket? That why he’s stepping away entirely but keeping quiet about it?

Yes I do KS, he could easily have stepped down to being a director and kept his glass box and match day hospitality. To walk away totally shows he is aware of something he wants no part of being a true fan!

  11. 9 minutes ago, Keyser Soze said:

Where is all this ‘we can’t have a stadium like EEP in League One’ coming from anyway? I was under the impression we managed to turn a profit ‘with a stadium like EEP’ the last time we were in League One? So it’s clearly manageable.

How can we afford all the bills that come with 2 major sites? We will have huge business rates for both and if you haven’t noticed gas, electric, water and parking spaces are all through the roof.
I’d imagine the club will feel obliged to pay for all its staffs parking spaces at both sites should it continue!

  12. Schwarz Gruppe Owns Lidl and Kaufland. There’s a starter for 10. Dunfermline does not have a Lidl but they are fierce rivals to Aldi’s. Dunfermline had one of the first Aldi’s in the UK. Kaufland have plans to come to the UK and like prime central locations. Tesco bought Love Street, and paid for their new stadium.
A certain director on both the boards has a company who went bust in 2017 owes 4 bailout companies vast amounts of monies and are basically in charge of its companies finances it’s current balance sheet from posted accounts mean it is basically trading insolvent and could be set to face a winding up order anytime! Then we have property developers on the board along with builders and groundwork’s contractors. You wonder why a genuine fan and ex chairman was ready to walk away totally and not even stay on as a director on the board. The current German investors are all turnaround experts in shipping and marine and know how to invest for future profits and all have directly and indirectly connections with Schwarz Gruppe. The only person in the whole set up with any knowledge of football is Thomas Meggle who has been known to have an input in team selection. Why did our best player not play in our most important games of the season? Who started the rumours he had signed a pre contract? Why have we heard diddly squat from our German investors for months? Why does a 1st division club need a 12000 seated stadium and a million pound training ground? Both will come with huge financial costs year on year, based on a home attendance of C2000 every 2 weeks for about 9 months a year paying C40 staff full time wages! There you go! The only company not on the board to benefit in moving stadiums is a demolition contractor.
Like I say I’m not wishing this to happen but it all stacks up when you are faced with this being the only option for our club to survive!

As Scott has already said using St Mirren as an example of how it helps the club I’m sure won’t not be used in the selling point!

My take on the research I have done and yes it is conjecture and we can only see what transpires but please scrutinise before dismissing it it all out of hand!

    So wid I 😆

There you go they are winning you over already!
New stadium in Rosyth with plans to be like St Mirren. With the millions they make from developing EEP.

Can confirm, and I shared that scepticism, or at least was pretty befuddled as to why we would be the club chosen particularly.

I'm still willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, as they do seem to have stuck with us through some tough times. I just hope that resolve continues, and that patience is a virtue they have in abundance.

SP, they aren’t going anywhere, they have the club where they want it, in turmoil, relegated, fans hating the manager and players but they are our saviours. Save the club they will, but what we have as saved club, will be similar to Falkirk, Airdrie, St Mirren etc. They have made a very small investment for a potential huge windfall!

  15. Also don’t forget all the promises made from the club 10 years ago! Nobody will ever have more than 49% ownership! Gone!

Even the supporter’s shares were watered down before being sold to these investors.

Directors of EEP and DAFC would be different! Gone!

Some people never get over the club knocking back a 50k investment.

Not at all, and I discussed it directly with RM. I’ve tried numerous times since to arrange sponsorship and advertising but the club weren’t interested stopped bothering about 5 years ago. To be honest it was probably in hindsight the very best thing that happened looking over how the last 10 years panned out so certainly no ill feelings in that way OxPar.

  17. Look you have to be very careful what you post when you use names and companies on the internet. As I’ve said do your research on the directors, see how some businesses are doing now, how other people have made their money previously and investments and interests they have outwith DAFC. Then ask yourself why they would have any interest in DAFC. Then what is in it for the owners of EEP in there current situation!

Then factor in can we afford to stay full time, do we need a 12,000 seater stadium, Arbroath are able to be promoted with Gayfield.

Why if we are building a sporting academy at Rosyth did we do the dirty on Rosyth once we had bought it.
Why have no plans been submitted for any works at Rosyth when it was supposed to be ready for pre season?

The bottom line as it stands some directors need money, others could be set to make a lot and others only seem driven by making money!

As I said back then I hope all the coincidences don’t mean that we will be playing part time football I a tinpot stadium in Rosyth.

The fact is lots of other clubs have done it in Scotland and we were a very easy target!

Aye? Well if its on the public domain then link people up.

What tweet would this be? Similar to above, if it's already in the public domain then share on.

Grant it's far better doing your own research if I post it you'll want proof and what source!

it took me a good few hours going through companies house here and similar in Germany then translating the documents to build up a clearer idea of history and previous involvements.

Once you have the pieces together it's not a hard jigsaw.

I posted my findings on here in November/December time. The first part was the club would/needed to be relegated this season!

I was ridiculed then as I will be now!

Personally I think it'd be extremely hard to dupe Ross McArthur and I think his family situation was more of an influencing factor regarding standing down.

I would have agreed if he'd just stepped down as chairman but to leave the board completely, which I believe is what he has done shows an underlying issue with him at that level.

  20. If you want to know do your own digging.

All the information is here on the internet from the directors of the club to the directors of EEP.

It takes a while but you can learn a lot.

Personally I think RM has been duped, and outvoted on things and he sees the future and wants no further part of it!
