Hopefully see something, we do need players.

However I'll wait and see and take it from there. I'm personally not hanging out to start throwing blame about for no constructive reason.

Is that a dig?, the management and board have know for months we are short of players, not that long ago we went 6 weeks without signing a player. The fans have stuck to there end off the bargin. We have bought season tickets, turned up in numbers home and away. This year from match days looks like shirt sales have been very good.

all the fans are asking for is the playing team and fan engagement to be meet with the same effort.

fans have a right to voice there opinion.

He's hardly going to say, "I've identified a number of players I believe would give me a strong enough squad to win promotion but the Board have failed to sign any of them", is he?

A sure way to get sacked in the morning.

I doubt he is going to say that but a shoulder off the blame can be passed into him, it’s the clubs fault hiring Grant then Hughes. Plus offering a bumper contract to Dorrans. He should have been given his P45 at end off last season and sent on his way.

Don't think you can blame McPake here, he will identify a player and then its up to the Sporting Director and CEO/Chairman to get the deal done.

He’s already said him self he’s to blame as being picky with player so can rightly blame him

  4. It’s actually a joke the club haven’t signed anyone outfield since Hamilton. You could tell in the league cup game against Alloa players were knackered. The good work that the board are now trying to do with the fans is being wasted on the playing side by not strengthing the team.

    the market isn’t slow anymore.

I fear it’s gonna be a very long season

I’d say the opposite.  Previous windows were filled with signing dross on long term contracts or loans “getting done early”, look where that got us.  There are still 31 days left of the window, and id much rather we get ourselves into the best position with the right players, rather than gamble on the likes of Bobby Kamwa….!

Under Crawford targets seem to identified and brought in already yes all signings weren’t good but I felt he had an eye for a player. Seems under Grant and Hughes and now latterly mcpake this has been a right rigmarole trying to get players in. May not be the manger but whoever is dealing with negotiations from the board side.

I understand the **** show of last season dosent help but still feel the clubs is attractive enough for players to want to come to

  6. It dosent sound like anyway is coming in this week by the sounds of his interview on COWS. The amount of money fans have pumped into the club past few years and it’s been squandered by Grant and Hughes.

the board need to start fronting up and help by getting players on board

  7. I like Todd in midfield I think he puts himself about and he is much better in the ball than people give him credit for, Hamilton will be solid and will always do a job. Allen had 2/3 opportunities to have a dig at goal today and never took them. The less said about charmer the better.

wighton should stroll this league but I can’t see it happening, Ohara is better through the middle and would work with either McCann or todorov.

the players were ****ing knackered by end off the match, don’t know if there still getting used to the pressing they are doing but they have all played virtually all preseason without breaks or rest ashavent the squad to rotate them.

mcpake has to have seen that today and seen that we need bodies in and a plan B, the two Alloa centre half’s breezed it and hardly lost a header.

another centre half and some creative players/ wingers and could be into a good team.

we have the young boys in the squad he might aswell use them if they are there. He’s nothing to lose by playing them.

thought alloas no 12 scougall was brilliant for them and there no 5 there centre half

I think it's a positive that the chairman is willing to speak to the likes of Piracy.

My concern with that is it’s all fart no jobby.

both grant and Hughes were saying that last season and was lead to be a lot of crap.

I don’t know how negations works wtc but other teams seem to manage fine.

spoke to a couple off Dundee mate and both said transfers are not one of mcpake a strong points.

  9. The lack of signings is a major concern for me, the season is just around the corner and getting players in seems to be a problem. Not just this season but previous transfer windows too.

I don’t get the slow market etc, I’ve no idea who deals with negotiations but they don’t seem to be doing a great job IMO.

Fans have went and bought there season tickets and replica tops etc and we’re going on 6 weeks without a signing where clubs are strengthening around us.

Yes the footballs better under mcpake and the youth coming through but still very short of players and been no mention of it from manger in past couple off games either.

Probably deserves a separate thread, but I really don't get what's happened here.

How has it taken so long for St's to be released? I don't buy that it's worth waiting for a signing to reveal them with, if anything surely you want to "drip" your releases throughout pre season so as to retain interest? We had that update from Cook which didn't say much at all, but did say St's would be soon? And that was a week ago.

We don't know our managers backroom staff

    We don't have any kits

We haven't made a single singing

Tomorrow will be a month on from that QP game, and all we've achieved is getting rid of Hughes and bringing in McPake, less his backroom staff.

That's a month with no income, when usually the club are needing those season tickets, are pushing the new kit...

At the supporters meeting I was at their was talk of the training ground being ready for pre season? I'm presuming that's still the case because there's been not a single update since.

They have missed this month for people getting paid, so prob won’t be a big up take on ST until next month.

there is definitely a lot less on the rumour mill about signings etc.

I thought with cook coming in and his background a lot would have been down on ST sales fan engagement etc but seems to be less and less.

Got a bad feeling this late planning could come back to bite us. Last season was different as we had to wait on assurances we’d be allowed crowds in. Every other season they are always on sale early may

Can only see it as next week they do season ticket sales and strips with a couple of player be announced at same time
