A draw against Switzerland would be fine - as long as we beat Hungary.
Any team that gets 4 points will qualify.
I'm sure its the top 4 3rd placed teams that go through, unless I'm mistaken. Probably be settled by goal difference.

At least we know we have to beat Switzerland now, unless we hoping a 3rd place finish will be enough.

Just simply and completely outclassed. But then when you stand back and compare player for player, that result is absolutely what you’d expect. Germany far stronger in every position. Not even sure I’d blame the setup or the manager, for the first goal if noones capable of getting in an early block then we get what we deserve. And Ryan Porteous. Boys an absolute liability.
I was more ****ed off that we never created a chance, plus needed a German player to score for us. Never expected us to get anything from this game, but didn't anticipate a drubbing though. What I find frustrating me with these tournaments, is that England, Wales, N Ireland and Republic have all managed to get out of their groups and make the knockout stage, where we always seem to create our own bad luck.

Didn't really look like we wanted to win that, saying that the Germans have better players all over the park. We seem to be a nation, that when optimism is high, we fail to deliver. I don't think 4 points will be enough, as as our goal difference took a battering. Odds on draw for the next game, as I think the players will up their game, otherwise we'll win the first nation home from the Euros award again. I watched some of Clarke's interviews after the game. He comes across as awkward and difficult, where he maybe should have been more humble and said I can understand the frustration or even say I take responsibility, as I got it wrong. It is ****e being Scottish sometimes 😆

We usually win 1, draw 1, lose 1, then get beat by goal difference. Maybe we'll finally get over the line this time. Draw would be a fantastic result tonight.

It's a pity it wasn't apprehended in a Thai airport. Good riddance to bad rubbish as they say .

I've never bought a ST in years, as I know I wouldn't make all the games, so PATG suits me better. I believe there was no early burd ticket, so maybe fans will wait till the last minute to buy. Think the PR side could be doing with a tweek regarding promoting the club. I've no idea what the training facilities look like, or even the guy Cook. If the football is good, the support will turn up, as it has always been .

Reckon we're in with a chance of snatching a point first game.
Germany play a certain way and if we can stifle it, we've got a shot.
Agree to an extent. It's not the greatest of German teams just now, but they're always street smart and can grind a result. They have flair and can be physical when required. They will definitely make the knockout stage, although I can't see them winning the tournament. I think if we try play for the draw, they'll narrowly defeat us. Nowt to lose, play to win.

We'd probably have been better playing the Germans once they'd qualified out of our group. Nightmare first game in their back garden. A draw would be a fantastic result. Usually in these tournaments, if you lose opening match, the pressure is on to get a result in the next two. We capable of getting something of the Swiss and Hungary though. We've had harder groups, with better players in past tournaments. Be some achievement to get through to the knockouts.

Can't see us having much of a budget, especially after the recent figures posted. Hopefully can attract some players through the doors soon though. We'll need a better squad than both Raith and Thistle if we want to finish above them. Don't know if any targets are expected this season from the board, but surely it has to include the Play Offs.

Hopefully some decent food, as most folk will probably want fed. Most likely be some German fare, which would be a welcome change fae Stephens. Talking of which, we could be doing with ****ing them aff, but that's a question for another day.

Here's one that was posted on Dunfermline Remembered Facebook page. Never seen this one before. Not sure of the year, but the main stand seemed to have a blue tinge to it when it was built. By the time I started going in the later 70s, it seemed to have went a Rosyth battleship grey, as it started to fall into disrepair.

We always do well in this competition, although we just got pipped by Raith last year. We should make the top 2.

I'd take Stanton. Great player.

They'll no be roaming in the gloaming on the streets of Raith tonight.

Rangers, Celtic, Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibs, Dundee Utd, Dundee, Kilmarnock, St Mirren, Raith and Falkirk.
-
Looking likely we'll will have a heuchter teuchter free season ahead. Braw.
-
Not sure if Raith or Partick will be able to beat the SPFL team to go up. Predict the same Championship new season, with Livingston, Falkirk and ICT staying up. If we could only get a finisher like Graham to add to next season.

I like McPake, he is a decent manager and person too. He has experience of getting promoted out of the Championship ,via the Play Offs with Dundee only 4 year's ago. I think all the fans will be expecting a top 4 finish next season. If he can get the recruitment right and is given the backing to do so, then really we should improve. I think finances, or maybe lack off, will determine our fate. My only criticism this season of the few games I attended, was the cautious approach and lack of entertainment, although everything clicked when we beat Dundee Utd on their last visit. We lucky we got a decent fanbase, which will probably increase if we get decent games at East End. Maybe manager and board have different expectations in the club going forward.

Glad the big guy is okay. Health before football and all that. Must've been worrying for all involved.

Definitely maybe worth a punt at £15 and it's cheaper than watching the Pars. Hopefully there'll be a stall selling currywursts and large Paulaners.

Reckon a 0-0 myself. Hope he plays some fresh faces for a change.

His commenting doesn't really bother me, I'd rather listen to him than Lawrenson, or even worse Rio Ferdinand. As a football manager, he wasn't good, as a person, he's without doubt a great guy. I know someone who booked him as a speaker for a charity doo. When Ally was asked about who the cheque should be made out to, he replied the charity.
