Agreed,  we've not suddenly turned into a great team, but we have put in enough that

The division is as always tight as **** and its all about momentum IMO and we're beginning to turn ours into a positive fashion.

We not out the woods yet, but winning on Tuesday night would heap more pressure on the teams around us. We looked confident on the ball today. Best we've played in 2024.

My optimism was well placed. We started the game like we really needed the win, the second half wasn’t the best for either team but a really important 3 points!

The job was done first half. Expected a 2nd half performance from Ayr, but McPake got his tactics spot on today. Unbeaten in 4 now, so hopefully play the same game v Airdrie.

  3. That result was a much needed boost on the run in. If we can do the same on Tuesday, then we will be in a strong position. The league is still so tight. Hopefully our game in hand will put us 5 points clear. Fair play to ICT today, the pressure must've been on them to get something. Well done and a decent game, especially first half.

Not at the game. How are they playing? Stats are good but got to convert chances more often.

On the front foot, creating chances going forward. Ayr have offered nothing. They can only improve i suppose. They'll have to go some to get back into it.

Get the crowd behind us from the start. It's too ponderous most the time at home.

Ponderous! That describes us to a tee. I'm gonna fire along to this. I'll be happy if we make some chances, be even happier if we score.

  6. Arbroath get a lifeline. I reckon they would take 9th just now. They'll have to go some to catch us. Simple, we need to look like we can win the next 2 matches. I'll predict our chances after Tuesday night regarding staying up. Crucial we win tomorrow, looking at those fixtures. You have to fancy Morton and Airdrie/QP, something has to give.

  7. The statement reads that a bit of the income went into the training ground and planning. This has been a gamble imo. We could end up back playing in the 3rd tier, which going by the money available down in it, could probably bust us. We not looking too clever on, or off the pitch just now.

Am I seeing things? Did they actually mention NOT being in the league 1 play-offs as a contributory factory to a million pound loss? That's utterly mental.

If we got to the Play Offs and got promoted, surely it would have only been 2 home games against the likes of Airdrie/Montrose?

First goal will be crucial but who's going to score for the Pars. We came from behind at Firhill but it's harder at home as it quietens the home fans and the visitors can set out to frustrate the team and the Pars fans alike.

My head suggests another draw but my heart says we can grind out a narrow 1-0 win.

I was impressed with Ayr at Ibrox recently. I don't think they'll sit back and try to frustate us somehow. I'd imagine they'll fancy the 3 points.

Story I got was that he's off to Hamilton. He's been released by the Rovers but it appears to be mutual - he no longer wants to play for them and they don't want him.

That's a fair jump down to put himself in the shop window.

I think Ross Millen would be a decent shout, but he was terribly targeted and unnecessarily so by the boo-boys in our crowd when he was here as a youngster. However has done well for himself since he has left but there is no chance he would return. I'm sure he will have other options.

He was just a young laddie flung into our team after admin. Took a decent free kick and never scared to take a penalty. Think a few wouldn't want him back, probably because they might not like him. He gives 100% and he good enough to play for us.

  12. Looking at that table, ourselves and ICT seems to draw a lot of games, which is probably why we stuck down that end. We really need to bring Ayr back into the thick of it by taking maximum points of them. Airdrie have the luxury of a couple of games in hand over most and we have one. 4 points would be a decent return over the next 2 home games. I see Ross Millen has been released by Rovers. I'd take him in a heartbeat, as he is used to winning, playing in a better team than ours.

  13. Draw was a fair result and 3 games unbeaten. We're pretty much on a par with Inverness, not much between us. Whether that be a good or bad thing. We still got a fight on our hands avoiding the dreaded Play Off position. We desperately need most of our wounded players back though.
