  1. I would say Thomas is the best player on the books just now. Only player who can score a goal from nothing Dorrans has had the best career so far though. Dorrans a better player than Wighton as well.
  2. Only match I watched at 2-0 this season, you knew it was game over, when the 2nd went in.
  3. Imagine Griffiths, Riordan and Gary O'connor in the same team? What did Hibs teach them? I reckon Griffiths career probably about to come to an end shortly. Great player on his day though.
  4. Remember ICT was a bit of a bogey team for us. Changing days. 2-0 home win.
  5. Dick demands hard work with 100% effort judging by an interview I heard a few months back. Good luck with Craig Wighton.
  6. Get in. Bout time we beat that lot. What a difference a week make. There might be a bit hope we can play/fight our way out of this relegation mess.
  7. Airdrieonians, Airdrie Utd or Airdrie. Same ****ey fans.
  8. If he can find a replacement and quick, then it might be a good bit of business for both club and Wighton.
  9. Lord Snooty? Anyone but Johnson. I don't think anyone will be remembered as a worse PM than him.
  10. Probably watching the scores on the news. My maw always says "what happened to yir team today?" My dad knew nothing about football, but could tell me who John Martin was. 😆
  11. Should have lifted restrictions from Friday, so some clubs could've got a wee financial lift re bigger crowds.
  12. Was hopeful it will be green light for go tomorrow and bigger crowds.
  13. Stevie Lawless has called on Dunfermline to take a leaf out of Livingston’s book after crashing to the foot of the Championship. The Pars suffered a chastening 5-0 reverse against Morton on Saturday, equalling their heaviest ever defeat against the Cappielow club and representing a new nadir of a grim campaign. Dunfermline boss John Hughes acknowledged that ‘heads dropped’ in Greenock, while he cursed the naivety of a young squad. Lawless, meanwhile, lamented a failure to ‘do the dirty side’ of the game. And the gifted winger reckons Livi — with whom he was involved in 20 goals as they finished fifth in the Premiership in 2019/20 — are a shining inspiration of how to combine craft with graft. Dejection: Boss Hughes “If I look at the teams that I have played for, I think about Livingston — that is what they have in abundance: desire, hunger and they work for everybody,” said Lawless. “Football-wise, I think we could be really good. But we need that dirty side of the game where we earn the right to play. “You can be the best team in the world but if you don’t do the ugly side of the game then it going to come back and bite you in the butt. “We need to show a bit of togetherness, grit and aggression on the park. The dirty side of the game cost us. “We were a little naive and gave away silly goals. “If we can sort that side of our game I think we could be good enough to move up the table — but those are the basics; the foundations.” ‘There were words spoken’ The game was over by the time Kevin Clancy blew for half-time, with Gary Oliver, Cameron Blues and Gavin Reilly rippling the net. But for the interventions of Owain fon Williams, who made three fine stops after the break, Morton could have won 8-0. Hughes reckons the result could be ‘the best thing that happens’ to Dunfermline, providing it acts as a wake-up call for the remainder of the campaign. And Lawless revealed that there were candid talks following the full-time whistle. “There were words spoken after the game, which were needed,” added Lawless. “There was no pointing the finger at anybody — we know it’s a team effort. “It is not just one person who needs that desire and hunger to throw your body in front of the ball or win your battle against your opposite number. It is the whole team. “We need to go into every game thinking that it is a battle. If we don’t, then it will be a long season.” Dunfermline Athletic FC
  14. The coaches surely should be working on their fitness and set routines. I can't fathom how Raith, ICT and Kilmarnock can't beat us this season, yet we getting outclassed by similar teams at the bottom.
  15. I reckon Hughes must've ripped into them after the last few results. I'd imagine the Germans on the board, surely want some return on their investment. We need to pick up quickly and win some games. PG type draws are useless now. A Falkirk scenario looking like a reality. Remember they just missed out on a top flight berth, then disintegrated. Yogi deserves a lot more time, as he only been in the job a few months. We've missed a chance with big Dick imo, although could he get more out of the underachieving players?
  16. Couple of Hearts fans at my work say Wighton got the ability, just that he was lazy and were glad they got rid.
  17. Are they investors? I thought they made up the board, taking over the running of the club, especially as RM is stepping down.
  18. I heard him on the radio saying apart from the first 10 minutes he thought we were the better team first half, but every chance or cross seems to end up in oor net. Also said players should enjoy football and play with pride fir the jersey, or not to bother. Never watched the game myself, just not interested in live stream laptop fibaw.
  19. It's was an improvement, as we employed a coach that couldn't win a game and assembled a squad which has definitely been really poor. Yogi probably wouldn't have been everyone's favourite choice. I would have hoped big Dick would have been given an interview, or made a shortlist. Petrie was my choice, but didn't want it. We'll know soon if the board got it wrong on Hughes.
  20. There's a saying "you can only pish with the **** you've got" Yogi has been brought in to stop the rot, but obviously the damage was done before then. Getting a few players who can turn a game, like Dom Thomas, is going to prove impossible. Yogi a better manager than PG. You can't really dispute that.
  21. Probably a dire 0-0. We need to gub somebody soon. Think either Morton, QOS or us will go down. Infact probably 2 will be relegated. I thought Ayr looked ****e, last time at EEP. Once this window closes, it going to be interesting. Hamilton seems to have picked up.
  22. As it stands. Tight as Rod Stewart. Big Dick just on the radio, saying "Yi widnae hing yir washing oot in that" after staying top.
  23. Dinnae mind a war hero receiving one, just no a war criminal. Glad David Bowie knocked back his.
