  1. Kenny Miller would be a decent appointment for a Cowdenbeath, Albion Rovers manager. Got to start your apprenticeship of that job, then work up through success. Levein and a load of managers started that way. We can get better than him.
  2. 1994 v Falkirk and 1965 v Third Lanark. Notice the NE roof must've got extended later on. Scorer looks familiar.
  3. I would imagine the board would draw up a shortlist of maybe a top 5, after going through all the CVs. I wouldn't think it would be possible to interview 80 odd applicants. Then maybe it comes down to how much the new guy comes across at the interview. Who'd want to be on a football board?
  4. Surely Craig Levein, if he's allowed.
  5. I'm gonna fire along, after giving it a body swerve. 0-0 my prediction. Hoping to maybe see a different type of game. I've no got a clue how it's going to pan out. Maybe Shields and Whittaker will have something up their sleeve. Or maybe a new man will be announced.
  6. Speaking of them, somebody do this Saturdays Morton thread please.
  7. Do you need to still ask other clubs permission to speak to their current managers? Not sure if it illegal to tap someone up.
  8. Another one I've never seen, from 1946, the old main stand.
  9. Obviously I was really interested in how the ground looked, before it was rebuilt in the early 60s. Had no idea it looked like this.
  10. Petrie for me, as he not experienced failure yet. I reckon a few clubs might have an eye on him, regarding how he finishes this season.
  11. I take it you mean JR? Let's no call him that if he gets the gig. He seems to have managed well in the game and is well respected and seems to have balanced opinions .
  12. He was a great captain for Falkirk, always driving them on , so suspect he took that style into management. No sure if he the man for us though.
  13. Dinnae mind Hughes. Met him in Edinburgh once and he was a really funny guy ,sound too. Whatever happened tae Owen Coyle? Never heard his name banded around.
  14. He was good at Alloa, but went downhill at Dundee, then even worse at Falkirk. I still reckon the majority will be happy if we get either Robbo or Petrie.
  15. Yi nearly had me ,then I clocked an eyeful of the tower.
  16. There's a guy outside East End, who swears he's Elvis. (Its easy done)
  17. Could just be folk trolling. We'll soon find oot who the new man is. I'd be happy with Robbo or Petrie. Hopefully they'll have a shortlist and speak to all concerned.
  18. Might be easier saying who we don't want. I'll go first 1. (PBS) Pressley 2. Barry Ferguson. 3 Kenny (please no) Miller. 4 Brian Rice. 5 Yogi. 6 Allan Johnston. 7 Butcher.
  19. Yip! the correct decision has been made. Hopefully kick on with the right man in place. Nowt personal against PG, but good luck tae him whatever he does next. We now have a chance.
  20. Came across this photo today on a football website, from the 50s, so thought I'd share it here. I like these things when they crop up.
  21. Someone long term that can save us from relegation. Petrie ticks all the boxes for me. Dick is a better manager than our current one, and would demand a higher work rate out the players. I really think we'll go down, unless we find the right man. Please no Steven Pressley though.
  22. I would imagine they now know that we need to have a new manager in by the next game. Surely they must have a meeting about this? At the interviews, ask the applicants, "can you save us from relegation?" "do we have a playing squad that can do this?" "can you get the fans back?"
