So…time to decide. We are in a huge scrap for survival  so do we go for a ‘safe pair of hands’ ‘till the end of the season and hopefully snatch 8th or do we go for the man we want long term?

Someone long term that can save us from relegation. Petrie ticks all the boxes for me. Dick is a better manager than our current one, and would demand a higher work rate out the players. I really think we'll go down, unless we find the right man. Please no Steven Pressley though.

The silence from the new owners is very concerning imo…. What is going on….

I would imagine they now know that we need to have a new manager in by the next game. Surely they must have a meeting about this? At the interviews, ask the applicants,  "can you save us from relegation?" "do we have a playing squad that can do this?" "can you get the fans back?"

Enough is enough. An absolute ****ehouse of a club from top to bottom who just got taken apart by bin men etal, AGAIN.This is how low we have slumped and change needs to happen fast. Need rid of the clingers on and this charlatan who claims he is the answer on the pitch. I am not going back but would be involved in a protest if it would change things

Shouldn't need a protest. If he not gone by next Saturday I'll save 20 bucks. I can guarantee they will miss my money, more than I'll miss them. Use your feet and erses to get rid.

  4. I think it's fair to say that Arbroath have better players and definitely a better manager than us. You cannae really argue against that. Board, players, manager are the problem.  One other thing, you cannae blame the fans, who have gotten behind the team. Over tae Meggle to do the club and PG a favour. Maybe some of these players need to try plying their trade elsewhere. Change will come, but it might take an empty stadium.

  5. Was a good atmosphere for the size of crowd. It would have been even better, if they went back to the old way of allowing the young lads back along to the end nearer the middle, but probably too many people crammed into seats. Reckon the polis will want the away fans behind the goals soon.

  6. Well do well to get a draw. I think 2 - 0 Arbroath. Their players are hungrier and more physical than ours.

Dicks team talk will be "Score early, get in their faces, bully/harass them and the fans will turn on them"

Listening to DC, he doesn't mind defeat, but every player on the field has to work their socks off, or they're subbed. Oh and he gets his teams fired up.

    It's aw aboot the boatle.

  7. I think there is maybe more things wrong, than  the vice chairman just now. Not keen on a jobs for the boys type of nepotistic ways ahead. Move Grant on and get the CVs oot the drawer. Ask Petrie, can you improve us. We didn't do enough to win tonight. Can't see us putting 2 goals past any team just now. Dom Thomas was the best player on the park tonight. Let's hire the best manager we can afford, to try get some wins on the board. The fanbase is plummeting just now and it's going to get worse.

apart from the goal we created absolutely nothing. Sadly some will see this as progress still so he’ll get another 2 games at least. Get beat next 2 games and we’ll be lucky to stay up

I can guarantee Arbroath will beat us on Saturday. Big dicky done it again tonight. Noticed we got a few players built like brick ****-houses playing tonight. I'd field everyone of them. Can someone name me a worse manager in the Championship just now please.

  9. Probably fair result in the end. Was kinda expecting them to start putting pressure on us once Dom Thomas scored. I thought after goal, we might push on. Thought we defended too deep in the last 10 minutes, then didn't block the Raith scorer getting his shot away. They had a good few chances before that goal. Team seems to be playing for Grant and the jerseys tonight, perhaps not Wighton. Our team looks as its as good as its  gonna get just now. I'm nae football expert, but either the team isn't good enough or the manager isn't.

3 months from now will be too late to save the season, I’d happily wager anyone that PG won’t win a league game with us. I highly doubt the board want to admit the mistake as they are the ones who ‘head hunted’ Grant in the first place, it would look a bit daft on their part to be getting rid of him when they ignored all other applications

If we're still drawing ,then 2 months will be too late. They sack him now, then we all know they got the appointment wrong. If he wins on Tuesday and can follow it up,  then we could say its taking a while for him to get going, then we would have to give them a bit credit, when the majority were calling for his heed. He's capable of making us hard to beat, but that's no gonna be enough. I  think if we play well on Tuesday we'll get the first win.

We haven’t scored a goal in the Scottish cup since 2017/18 season, hope that can change.

Hopefully grant is away by then anyway

If he's still here,  it'll be a draw, then back to EEP for the replay, followed by another draw, then oot on penalties.

Had a quick scan of the sides still involved and there's not a single side I'd fancy us against. Just give us an away tie against a side we haven't met before.

Kelty Hearts would be a banana skin.

Remember when it was anyone, but Airdrie 😆

Here's one for us to ponder.

Boardroom meeting on Thursday. Considering a reshuffle, let's see who gets to join. Let's see who they then squeeze onboard with them.

What's the criteria for getting on the board, apart from putting a lot of money in? I'm assuming the board have a ballot? Does a board member have to step down, for a vacancy to become available? Loads of questions I know, but I'm wondering what their plans are. If we go down, then they will have seriously put us back a good few years. I said I wouldn't call them it, but what are the men fae Deutschland trying to achieve?

The trouble is that the first quarter has been so bad that 1 win doesn’t put us anywhere near back on track. A win on Tuesday followed by a defeat to Arbroath and we’re right back in it.

A win will get the monkey of our back and lift spirit's and us up the table. Arbroath away is a difficult fixture anyway. We need to win Tuesday. When PG goes the new manager has a relegation fight on his hand. He'll need to try and find a winning formula, that PG can't purchase just now. Draws only help us when there is a gap between the bottom 2 that we're no in.

I didn't ask but given who the information came from it would likely only be one from a possible three.

Who gives out this info? I'm not wanting you to tell me btw. I would have thought an unhappy player would discuss that with his family/close colleagues and keep it under wraps, until handing in a request.

What a load of pish SP. Put the rod away.

Not one person is happy with a draw. People can describe how the team play in each game - or not say a word and keep their anger and disappointment to themselves - but that’s not the same as accepting the results we’re getting.

I want nothing more than PG to get out. He’s doing nothing to give our team the confidence and belief that they can score,  and win, IMO.

I think an away draw was a good result today. Its what we can do at home now that's important. Recently PG has made us hard to beat, but where we are sitting table wise, we not going to climb up unless a win is forthcoming and is needed this week. I honestly think if we dig in and throw a bit of the defensive shackles off, then we could win. If not then we going to be relegated. Think last time we drew most of our games (17) in 1982, you can guess what happened.
