The Courier on X stating ourselves and Raith are leading the chase for Zac Rudden

Will always be Twitter to me.  Like a taxi driver once said to me "Call it what you want son, it will always be Noddy's"

  2. I really should get my emails from the club transferred to another email account as the email the club have for me is an old one.

Got some Patron shares transferred from my Dad a few years back so I should have that email, will have a look to see if there is anything that I can add.

Not really tbh.  Obviously I can't go but I hope that it is better attended than previous meetings because there are questions that need answers.

  3. Just a wee bit of fun and something a bit different stolen from German site "die falsche 9".  Which choreo in the German leagues do you find the most impressive for the month of September 2023?

Also shown are the clubs who won the vote for the first 8 months of 2023

    January Kaiserslautern

    February Hannover 96

    March Eintracht Braunschweig

    April Dynamo Dresden

    May Kaiserslautern

    June Hamburger SV

    July Alemannia Aachen

    August Karlsruhe

Put the club names on the post for people who may not be familiar with the badges.

Will run the poll until Monday night at half past 8

Fantastic player in the day, the absolute definition of world class. I imagine @Deutsch Par that the German public will be pretty devastated at this news.

Yeah they are, pretty much every German club from seniors to amateurs on my timeline have made a tribute.

  5. I'm not going to criticise anyone on the playing staff or management because our squad is paper thin, most of our players are injured or carrying an injury and they're doing everything they can in the circumstances however the board should be pushing the boat out for every player that McPake wants this month as it is well beyond a joke.

We should also be looking at whether training methods and facilities are fault and get them changed rapidly if they are.

I have a bit of sympathy for the club in that enforcing a banning order must be pretty difficult tbh, if it's given by the police they'll have to clock into the station at a certain time, but how the club stop them going into the Norrie under a different name? Let alone away games etc.

A tough one for the club, it'll be there name getting dragged through the mud but dishing out punishments without the police cooperating will be extremely difficult.

That's a good point tbh.  Turnstiles are rarely manned these days, and the club don't want a police presence at matches because of the costs.

I remember an outcry a few years ago when I think it was the police were wanting clubs to take names and addresses of everyone who bought a ticket and to stop selling tickets the day before match day.  I could be misremembering but that comes to mind for some reason.

They won't shut it down. There's no need to shut it down. Every club in the country would need to close part of their stadoums down.

They might close that section.  The club will need to be seen to be doing something otherwise every single one of our games will have a police presence

To help to calibrate your blood pressure, O'Boyle was at the Pars until 1994 and left under freedom of contract. Hamilton and Grant signed 2 years before then.

Was just about to post this.

The deal in 1992 was that St. Johnstone got Rhodes and we got Hamilton and Grant.

To add to the other posts about O'Boyle's fee.  It was decided by tribunal after we wanted 10 times the amount that St. Johnstone were willing to pay.

The tribunal judge ruled that we should receive £200,000 as it would be the highest transfer fee ever between two first division clubs at that time.

The reason O'Boyle got such a hard time after leaving is because he said something along the lines of "St. Johnstone might be in the First Division but they are a Premier Division club".

  9. Social media is annoying me with people complaining that we haven't signed anyone, when the transfer window isn't even open yet.

I think that targets will more than likely have been identified but too many people have to learn that the Calderwood years where we could sign someone just for the sake of signing them are long behind us, and that we were spoiled as **** back then.

"Aye but the Rovers are signing loads of people"

Is the Rovers model being backed by the cocai..  conservatory mogul really sustainable?
