  1. East End Bounce Prediction League 2023/24

    Prediction League Week 36 Fixtures

    Fri 3rd May

    Ayr Utd v Dunfermline (Goal/Crowd)

    Dundee Utd v Partick Thistle

    Inverness CT v Morton

    Queens Park v Airdrie

    Raith Rovers v Arbroath

This is it, the final week, the last games of the season. Once again if you don’t use your Jokers 🃏 in this game they will count for nowt. Thanks for everyone for taking part in the EEB Prediction League. I hope you have enjoyed it. COYP

  2. Was bitterly disappointed with that performance. ICT never really challenged but still it took us 30mins to get into the game. I thought we just about deserved the lead when Bene scored but only just. You can see can see why ICT are battling to avoid the play off place yet we have four successive draws with them this season! Injuries apart we have witness some utterly pathetic performances this season and its not good enough for a Pars team to submit to teams in the way they have done this season. Well done to Mehmet for saving the Pen had, they scored I think they would have gone on to win. Today was the first time I have seen the Pars properly manage a game out yet the times when we needed to do it the "craft" was clearly missing. Today it was bordering on a disgrace at home against a team fighting for safety who were so open and desperate to take the 3pts, we were pathetic. Saving the one point as opposed to taking the three at home is something I never want to see again. McPake better have a stellar close season or he will be gone by the next transfer window. That wasn't anywhere near good enough.

There may not have been drama at EEP today, but there is plenty in the Prediction League. Firstly, congratulations to The Roy Barry Fan Club for taking the plaudits on the top step of the podium with a great 40pts, He also won the goal bonus as did Andrew Mitchell and Deutsch Par. Digs earned the 5 pt crowd bonus. Superally had a stinker and has very nearly thrown away a big lead but just managed to hang onto first place now shared with The Roy Barry Fan Club with Deutsch Par only 4 points behind top spot. With only one week left, it literally is all to play for especially as end of season games are notoriously difficult to predict so it’s still open season on the final placings and those who have Jokers left will be hanging on to that advantage. Remember if you don’t use your remaining Jokers by next week, you will lose them. Remember to check your scores and let me know if there are any problems and I’ll sort it out. Good Luck for week 36, it’s the final week! COYP

  4. 34 minutes ago, Grant said:

Here's the thing, he's still our second top goalscorer.

I'm not sure if I'm correct here but In all comps (League and Cup) I have McCann scoring 4 goals in the League and 3 goals in the League Cup.

In truth I thought he would have kicked on this season, but I don't think the style of play we have has helped nor has the injury crisis. I continue to think like others there is a player in there and agree with the point mentioned earlier that both Nisbet and Shankland were late to develop. Striking options since Nisbet left have been dire for the Pars. Its fantastic that Sutherland is doing so well and has great potential but i'm cautious in placing too much expectations on him at an early age

  5. Two games left and while mathematically we still need a point to be “safe” and be assured of not slipping into a relegation play off place. Sadly, the rather bland performance last Saturday allowed Morton to move above the Pars into 5th spot which should be a viable target for the faithful. This Saturday the Pars welcome Big Dunc’s ICT to East End Park for the last home game of the season. This is not a meaningless fixture by any circumstance and Inverness will be highly motivated to take points up the A9 on Saturday evening. The Highlanders sit 8th in the table above Queens Park (who face Arbroath) and 5 points behind the Pars. Recent form suggest the Pars are favourite’s only losing one game in the last six and Inverness losing three of their games over the same period. Inverness last outing was a narrow 1-0 defeat against Raith where they could be considered unlucky - whereas the Pars last outing was a draw, and recent efforts fall into the bland category It would be great if the Pars go out with a bang and take all three points, but Inverness have more to play for and quite a formidable defence behind them I suggest a low scoring draw is the likely outcome. 6.  @Grant A group from the EEB were in Hospitality yesterday. Our thoughts are that its very good and we are looking to do similar next season. A three course meal with Coffee & Tea. Table service from the bar with pies and sausage roles at HT with tea & Coffee (No alcohol at HT). There is a bar with table service at FT. Leish does his bit as compare and there is a guest - yesterday it was Westie. Its up to you to determine if its good value - I think so. £60 for ST holders and £75 for Non ST Holders. Kids are welcome

It was a frustrating and dull affair at EEP today but the outcome of which suggests that the Pars are safe from a relegation play off. There are no relegation play off places in the prediction league where its winner takes all. Todays podium is shared between The Saline Hill Puma and Deutsch Par who blagged 27pts each. There was no goal scorer, but Andrew 283 takes home the 5 point crowd bonus so well done to them all.  With two weeks left Superally continues to lead the table by 27 points from Deutsch par who moves into second place following some decent form in the run in. End of season games are notoriously difficult to predict so its still open season on the final placings – add in some decent Jokers and there is time for changes across the whole table. Only two games left and remember if you don’t use your remaining Jokers by the last game, you will lose them. Remember to check your scores and let me know if there are any problems and I’ll sort it out. Good Luck for week 35, it’s the penultimate week!. COYP

  9. I'm thinking when Hamilton is not in the midfield we tend to be run over and we don't quite have the combative players to challenge it. Otto is good but when Hamilton and Otto were playing a defensive roll it was clearly evident that we struggle in the middle of the park. Probably why our striker(s) are so isolated
