  1. I have to disagree with you there, Digs, about Dow not being a winger. I think some of our best football in recent seasons has been when Dow has played wide right and combined well with Comrie. He seems happy and confident there, whereas he looks completely out of place where is being played at the moment. Dow at his finest can be devastatingly effective. Prior to his injury, he was certainly one of our most influential players. He scored one of the finest Pars goals that I can remember about three years ago at Firhill, coming in from wide right straight across the front of the penalty area before shooting from the left edge of the box. Ohhh to get that confident Ryan Dow back in our side!
  2. OMG. Another shocking mispass (McDonald) gifts QOS a goal.
  3. McCann needs help upfront. I would like to see Dow out on the right-wing to give us more balance. McDonald isn't working there. We pressed higher as the half went on. I think we will win this.
  4. Okay, I give in... why are we playing one up front AT HOME against the bottom team in the league? Baffling... 1 Owain Fôn Williams 2 Aaron Comrie 12 Rhys Breen 33 Mark Connolly 3 Josh Edwards 6 Kyle Macdonald 17 Graham Dorrans (c) 26 Matthew Todd 8 Kai Kennedy 11 Ryan Dow 14 Lewis McCann Subs:- 5 Ross Graham 7 Kevin O’Hara 9 Craig Wighton 10 Nikolay Todorov 16 Dan Pybus 18 Paul Allan 29 Deniz Mehmet (GK) Referee is Don Robertso
  5. Okay, seven and a bit hours to kick-off, and I am getting that Saturday buzz again. There's a tendency to say that every game's a cup final for us at the moment, but looking at the table after last night's result, you have got to admit that three points today would be really, really handy. So what will be Yogi's grand plan, do you think? Surely he won't go one up top again? So 442 or 4411, maybe Dow and Kennedy, or Kennedy and O'Hara, out wide, McCann and Wighton upfront? Or is Yogi going to for a ballsy 433? If there is any game to try this, it would be this one. But surely he would reserve that option if he's chasing the game or (ahem...) we are already overwhelming QOS? Well, at least Dorrans is not suspended, so we have got a captain. Maybe Lady Luck is with us this week. For God's sake, lads, just don't let us down again! COYP.
  6. One thing is for sure, and that is we cannot play this game with just one forward. On that assumption, I am going for an optimistic 3-0.
  7. Geez... I thought Mehmet was on loan. OMG!
  8. [SIGH]... that was dire. Just can't draw any positives from that performance. I bet the transfer window can't come soon enough for Yogi. So many of these guys are just going through the motions. I am guessing that Jones, Breen, and Cole have been told to look elsewhere and Mehmet will surely go back to United. Kennedy back to Ibrox. Is Thomas injured or are we back in trouble territory with him again? As for Dorrans...
  9. So pleased to hear this, I hope he makes a success of it. Goodonya Stevie.
  10. I do a pretty decent version of McArthur's Park when I've been on the sauce. But I can't remember the words after the third verse...
  11. I think that the McArthur Academy is a super idea.
  12. A statue is a nice idea, but it takes a lot of time and doesn't always meet everyone's approval. How about a prominently placed and nicely worded metal plaque from Pars fans honouring his contribution to the club? Count me in for 50 quid either way.
  13. I remember that night against Anderlecht. Our last East End night in Europe for many a long year. I think our strip that night was all blue. The first picture shows Barrie Mitchell just after scoring. Dandy McLean and I believe Jim Gillespie congratulate him. The second picture is of the fateful penalty miss by Alex Edwards. Ah well. And the Celtic game... did we win that 2-1? Very early in the season? I am struggling to recognise any of those Celtic players.
  14. It has been such a long time since I have felt this good about the Pars. Anyone else getting powerful Leishman vibes from Yogi??? His enthusiasm is more infectious than that virus...
  15. Sure, Dave. Great idea. winklepicker... scrumptious... gobbledygook...
