With hindsight, I should probably have stuck with my original plan to price the tickets at £10 each - double the money for DADSC and probably more fans getting the opportunity to buy tickets.
I just thought that with the current squeeze on people's personal finances, and the current negative vibes around DAFC, there might have been a reluctance to pay as much - I should have known better, as anyone who was at Hampden in 2004 will know how they felt at half-time and would want to re-live that feeling.
£5 was the right choice - opens up the chance to win for more people ……

Very very sad news. I have sat a few seats along from Roger for the past 20 plus years. Indeed I was chatting to him at the Partick game before Christmas.
Great sense of humour, a kindly man and a true Par.
I will miss him.
He had a wonderful dry sense of humour - I think its why we got on so well - he really reminded me of my own dad - I’m absolutely gutted 😢

This is devastating news - I have got to know Roger and his daughter Nicola over the last 7 years and I was shocked to hear this news last night - it was so sudden. He lead a full life and was passionate about his family and beloved Pars - I am going to miss him terribly 😢

Away for a lie down ….

Honestly - as if the poor performances on the park were bad enough - this is shameful in the extreme…..

We are delighted to announce that Dunfermline Athletic Disabled Supporters' Club have just been awarded a phenomenal £2504.00 from the Big Country Trading Post Facebook Group. Each year the forum chooses from a number of charities to receive the proceeds of their yearly Christmas Raffle of Big Country Memorabilia. We were delighted to have been chosen this year.
A record breaking number of tickets were sold this year with the group being delighted to be supporting such a worthwhile cause and acknowledging the special emotional bond between Big Country and DAFC.
We would love to thank all the members for their fantastic donation and also to give a special mention to Stuart Menzies the forum admin who co-ordinated the entire event.
