  15. It is a good question, hopefully I will be able to give some clarity on the age restriction. I was speaking with young people who thought there were gaps in support for them. For example, Andys Man Club do absolutely fantastic work that I have seen first hand. However the age group 16-25 feedback was they would feel uncomfortable speaking to peers who were older. So to begin with this is the group that is targeted just now. We are working on plans just now to offer a safe place with physical activity and mental health awareness to 11-15 year olds, hoping to role this out mid February. We are speaking to external partners about this, looking at safety, alcohol and drugs, finance, relationships to name a few. It is for males just now as the Pars Foundation already run a programme of recreational football for females.
  16. I have been working closely with The Pars Foundation to bring a new mental health initiative - `Keep Kicking On` This project will specifically target males 16-25, It will help improve their physical and mental health. It will give a safe space to kick a ball and speak about mental health where you will not be judged. There will be a focus on suicide prevention to this as well, where people can feel comfortable and confident to talk about this emotive subject in a relaxed environment and tackle the the stigmas associated with mental health. Trained mental health first aiders will be in attendance, and safety nets will be in place. We have listened to this particular age group of supporters who felt there was a gap for support they felt was needed, and we are delighted to launch this initiative. It will begin - Monday 31st January, 6pm - 7pm at Queen Anne High School (indoor pitch) The cost is free. Register here - eddie@dafc.co.uk

  21. By no means am I a football coach or manager, an avid fan. During Grants time and now Hughes, playing from the back isn't working, maybe works in training but as soon as we lose the ball or a second ball, it puts us in trouble, then we tend to conceded goals. It is happening all too often.
  22. Cheers secure par πŸ™‚ Yeah, absolutely soorploompar. Looking forward to hearing from you πŸ‘
