League Shake-up

For the wider good of the game and for the development of players, the. 20 team top league seems obvious. Although not the only factor, the deterioration of Scottish football coincides with the era of the small top league.

As has been said before here, it is unfortunately not the wider good of the game that drives the governance of the sport in Scotland.

Does anybody know if a model like the small top league and 4 games against each team exists elsewhere in Europe? From the brief research that I did I couldn't find any examples.
