For me McCann always looks better playing off the left, rather than the central striker.

He could, but if the keeper sometimes come and sometimes stays on his line, that creates uncertainty. If the defenders know he's not coming they know they need to deal with it and can be positioned accordingly. If they know he's coming for it they can get then defend the striker/area and allow the goalie to deal with it.

I've had this discussion with those around me before... I have absolutely no issue with him not coming for crosses, so long as his defense know he's not coming. It's when the defenders don't know if the keeper is coming or not that there's an issue.

I'd go the other way... Bring Breen in, moving Otoo into midfield... Don't want to rush Bene yet, need him fit for new year...

Wighton's movement and the stuff hedoes off the ball is excellent, and goes unnoticed far too often unfortunately... He's the main reason Matty Todd got so many goals last season... I also think, Todd not playing has had an impact on Wighton's game. Looking forward to a fully fit Todd and Wighton playing soon.

I believe the plan, when everyone's fit (if that ever happens) is for Otoo to play in midfield.

I quite like Wighton as a finisher too, and I think he's missing Matty Todd more than most. Todd would always get up and support or go beyond him.

I think we're more than capable of getting a result there, esspecially if we play like we did on Saturday. However, I wouldn't be too upset with a draw as Partick are a far better side than Morton.

I think it'll be similar to a lot of games last season, with Morton sitting deep, trying to frustrate us and hitting on the break. In Summers, Moffat and Wighton and the form McCann's in I think we've got the players that can break them down. 2-0 Pars.

Some of the shouts aimed at Wighton first half were embarasing, just because he doesn't run about like a headless chicken doesn't mean he's lazy...
