  1. More concerned about booing the team off at half-time in a friendly, having qualified for the Euros comfortably.
  2. Looking forward to the game at the DTUK on Saturday.
  3. They often have some sort of promotion at this time of the season. I don't think it is an indicator of impending doom.
  4. You can ascertain the loss/profit from the change in the balance sheet figure from the previous year. When they have published the P&L (the ones I saw anyway), they have a handful of headings and the gross and net profit figures - so it wouldn't satisfy those who were looking for definitive answers as to why we were spending more than we brought in.
  5. There's no level of detail in it - so it depends on the wording of the answer. If it was a flat 'no' then they were mistaken.
  6. Very possibly. I seem to remember Hearts were opposed to some form of redistribution also as they thought they would lose out. I might be mistaken on that, however.
  7. Premier League clubs are completely to blame. The current version of Rangers were absent from the top flight for 4 years - so the 11 others had the chance to mobilise, come to a consensus and force through anything they wanted to help redress the balance and make the top-tier more competitive. They did nothing and now cannot do anything as they require an 11-1 majority. Complete madness pandering to the Celtic and Sevco when they would leave for pastures new if they could - even if they were taking every penny of TV and prize money.
  8. The annual report for year ended 31st May 2021 has a P&L account on page 13. Alongside it is the P&L for year ended May 2020. I've not gone any further back than that, however.
  9. There was definitely a profit & loss account published before - anyone can download the accounts and see for themselves. He's not necessarily being economical with the truth if he said that it wasn't detailed, however.
  10. Numbers are plucked out of thin air, to be clear. I've no inside track - it's just clear that they've got to add up to -£1m.
  11. When we did get a P&L in the accounts, it didn't say much either. Let's say 22/23 went something like this (using similar levels of detail seen in the 2020/21 accounts). Turnover: £1.7m Cost of Sales: (£2m) Gross Loss: £0.3m Administrative Expenses: £1m Other Operating Income £0.3m Net Loss: £1m Is that likely to have any positive effect?
  12. It's been square pegs in round holes all season, though. It now looks like they've got the personnel to do it.
  13. I'd play 5 at the back with everyone fully fit. We've generally looked bad all season whatever the formation but we've never had Benedictus, KRH, Todd, Kane etc all available - so I think it would be the best option. And Fisher is quite clearly the second coming of Beckenbauer.
  14. And I was meaning that we held Utd to a 0-0 draw, having not played in 3 weeks. We then lost Fisher from the backline and lost 8 goals over the next 2 weeks. On that evidence, he seems quite a valuable asset.
  15. Aye, Fisher's agent should have been on the phone following the Morton and Queens Park matches.
  16. I'd probably go with Fisher, Bene and Walcott at the back, Edwards and KRH as wing-backs, Otoo, Hamilton and Todd in midfield and Kane upfront - with whoever he wants playing off him. I'd probably have Jakubiak in, but if Moffat or even O'Halloran were showing up in training, you could see some logic in either.
  17. Depends how nostalgic you want to get. It wasn't particularly unified back in the 80s when we went to Palmerston. Or in the 90s when we frequented Brockville. That's in no way defending anyone hard of thinking enough to wreck the toilets or to shout abuse at Chris Hamilton.
  18. Aye, no Kane, no chance. Hopefully, that won't age well.
  19. Someone on .net is saying Kane is out - and will be for the coming weeks. I don't know their previous form, though.
  20. Based on the last couple of days discussions, I am also in no doubt that Benedictus will re-injure himself and the big man in goals will throw in a couple.
  21. Sounds like you're looking for a massive ruck, tbh...
  22. The problem with that reasoning is that we then cannot play him in the next game - as we're at home to Dundee Utd. They're top of the league, better away from home and we're poor at EEP. If he is lacking match fitness and sharpness, that's the game where he is most likely to be exposed. The week after, we are at Cappielow. Fair enough, they've stumbled in the last couple of weeks, but they've been the best team in the division, results wise, for the 2 or 3 months prior to that. They also put 5 past us recently, so you would imagine we would be under a fair amount of pressure. Is that the time to pitch him in? The week after, we're at Arbroath, which could be a massive game... Unfortunately, there is no easy game for us to bring him back in For me, he is either fit to play or he's not. If he is, he plays and we hope he hits the ground running and makes a difference. He could get injured again, but so could KRH, Todd or even someone like Edwards - one of the few who has not been on the sidelines yet. It's just part of the risk of football. The caveat is, if Bene is not 100%, he shouldn't be considered for the matchday squad at all. Same goes for everyone, especially based on the way this season has gone.
  23. Don't do that mate - I'll have to reconsider my stance...
  24. I think we all agree that nobody should be rushed back from injury. He's been on the bench for the last two games, though, so you would have to assume that he is fit to play. If you don't play him tomorrow to protect him, when do you decide to put him on the park? We absolutely need him for next season but if he's fit, we can't stand him down for the rest of this one - as we can't have him leading out the side in League One come next August.
  25. I don't get that. The defence is much better with Benedictus in it. If he's fit to play, he should play. If he's struggling after an hour due to lack of match fitness, he should be subbed. If we're too worried about him getting injured again to put him on the park, then we will never pick him again.
