It really all depends on what Pars team turns up, the one that played Utd, or the one that played QP.

I don't think they are miles ahead of us, IF we play to our full abilities. At home, we should've beat them and although they gubbed us 3-0 away, I don't think that necessarily tells the story of the game. Sharp chucked two in, and defensively we were rotten but on the ball, I thought we did OK and we missed some great chances at crucial times.

I do think we will lose tonight, given recent form, but we are more than capable of a result too.

The big difference between now and the game at Dundee, is that we had Fisher available and that allowed Hamilton to move to midfield. Otoo and FW done well either side of Fisher.

If we go with the same central pairing as last week, I do fear that Brian Graham will have a easy evening.

Good post Grant.  Getting to 4th, with that long injury list and players out of position, meant the football wasn’t great, and we’ve never looked or deserved to be a top 4 this season.

With players coming back (slowly), and hopefully the signing of Kane will get us higher up the league.  Maybe all things considered, that’s consolidating our promotion from last season.

I'm going to be honest and say, even last year for large parts of the season the football was pretty dire to watch so its not something new to this season, but we were winning then, so most fans didn't care that much about the style.

Billy Dodds? Honestly? We're in Hughes/Grant territory with that suggestion. ICT looked bound for League 1 with him in charge. Big Dunc has at least given them a fighting chance of staying up.

He also had several decent seasons with Inverness recently.

Id assume we'd maybe look at people like Mark Fotheringham, Lee Bullen, Billy Dodds....but then it depends who will apply for the job if it becomes available at the end of the day.

But It's largely irrelevant until we do make a decision. One thing that I'm certain of is performance levels and results have been shocking recently and we are going backwards as a team with no signs of improvement.

Can I just add to this, that if mcpake does turn it around, I'd be delighted, at the moment, I just can't see it happening though.

We've had glimpses of ok performances at times but it's just not good enough overall, especially in the last 9/10 games where we've fell well short.

You’ve nailed your colours SHP. So, apart from the usual sad list of available and often unavailable candidates that gets trotted out on such an occasion, who would you suggest could take on the job at this stage of the season and turn things around?

Perhaps optimism has got the better of my common sense but we may be surprised next week. The opportunity is there to be taken.

If we go with the same back 4 next week, Brian Graham will destroy them
