  1. Looking at McPakes comments, I think he was looking to rest some of the players returning from injury as they looked tired and performance levels had dropped. Hence no Bene, KRH, Todd and Jakubiak.
  2. This is it - the final week of the Prediction League. Everything will be sorted out tonight. Get yer predictions in and remember those Jokers ............
  3. At the beginning of the 2023/24 Prediction League I said I will give 10 bonus points for nominating the Pars player to score the most goals over a season including league and cup games. You had to nominate your top scorer in your predictions for the first game. It seems unlikely with one game to go that any one will outscore Lewis McCann with his seven goals, 3 in Cup games and 4 in the League. BBC stats below: 1 Lewis McCann 7 1 35 0.26 344 54 13% 46% 2 Craig Wighton 6 2 23 0.38 238 20 30% 55% 3 Matthew Todd 4 1 20 0.25 361 24 17% 50% The following folk will benefit by an additional 10pts that will be added to their final predictions score tomorrow: Superally, Andrew283, Davy Buchanan, Eric Spaven, David Shand, Eggy Eggy, Ross Hunter, Iain MacAuley, Jack Winter, TSHP, Lenscarp, TRBFC, Al K, Eulum, Scott Thomson, Joe Napier, SeaBass, Andrew Mitchell,
  4. With the Pars interest in mid table mediocrity nearly over for this season the question is who are we likely to face in the Championship next season. Clearly Dundee Utd will return to the Premiership and Arbroath will drop into the first division with Falkirk will eventually rejoin the championship. As for the relegation play off it will be down to Queens Park or Inverness with a single point between them its all to play for. Queens Park probably have the better recent form so carry a slight advantage. That will leave Inverness to face the play offs and will likely face strong favourites Hamilton. Alloa and Montrose are also in contention. At the other end of the Championship play offs, Raith Rovers have the advantage but their form is stuttering atm. Partick are in with a decent shout. But its Airdrie who have the recent form to cause problems. Who they are likely to face from the Premiership is still to be decided. Livingstone look pretty much doomed in the automatic relegation spot. Only a single point separate St Johnston or Ross County and its probably too close to call. The outcome if the Pars can positively take advantage in the transfer market may leave a Pars in a strong position and possible be a strong contender for next season. Livingstone will benefit for a large parachute payment, but I think they are a club in a decline and wont carry the same threat as Dundee Utd The Championship next season? Livingstone Raith Rovers Partick Airdrie Ayr Utd Dunfermline Morton Queens Park Falkirk Hamilton
  5. Just a shout to remind folks that all championship games are played tomorrow night. Its the final week so dont miss out and get those predictions in. 🙂
  6. I agree with that, I dont think we look that comfortable when he is playing a more of a full back roll. I believe we should use a players strengths and defending is not what KRH can do best.
  7. Thanks for the shout @Yorkie Amended now
  8. A visit to Ayrshire brings in the official end of the 2023/24 season for the Pars. Some may be glad to see the back of it and some will be frustrated that the Pars never quite managed the expectation of the support to at least gain a promotion play off place. I’m still of the opinion that without that mid-season injury crisis to key players we could have been in the promotion play off position. There has been some highs beating champions Dundee Utd and hammering Partick 3-1 but there have been plenty of lows - not even managing to put a dent into rivals the wee team over 5 games and more abject disappointment in cup competitions. Missing key players may be one issue but there have been strange formations, players out of position and inexplicable management decisions. However, this Friday is not entirely a meaningless game for both sides The Pars should have the ambition to finish in the top half but Morton are in poll position. The Honest Men are point behind the Pars and will be looking for the win and are still capable of a 5th place. I would like to think the Pars could earn a win but after the last two home abject performances it will take a fair bit of convincing to persuade the faithful. I’ll give the Pars the benefit of a doubt and suggest a low scoring 1-1 draw and hope for improvement next season. COYP

  10. @Andycarp is indeed in with a good shout, Playing all jokers 🃏 that means there is a possible 100pts on offer. But then again they are called Jokers for a reason. End of season games are a nightmare to predict, some may do well, others may have an absolute stinker
  11. East End Bounce Prediction League 2023/24 Prediction League Week 36 Fixtures Fri 3rd May Ayr Utd v Dunfermline (Goal/Crowd) Dundee Utd v Partick Thistle Inverness CT v Morton Queens Park v Airdrie Raith Rovers v Arbroath This is it, the final week, the last games of the season. Once again if you don’t use your Jokers 🃏 in this game they will count for nowt. Thanks for everyone for taking part in the EEB Prediction League. I hope you have enjoyed it. COYP
  12. Was bitterly disappointed with that performance. ICT never really challenged but still it took us 30mins to get into the game. I thought we just about deserved the lead when Bene scored but only just. You can see can see why ICT are battling to avoid the play off place yet we have four successive draws with them this season! Injuries apart we have witness some utterly pathetic performances this season and its not good enough for a Pars team to submit to teams in the way they have done this season. Well done to Mehmet for saving the Pen had, they scored I think they would have gone on to win. Today was the first time I have seen the Pars properly manage a game out yet the times when we needed to do it the "craft" was clearly missing. Today it was bordering on a disgrace at home against a team fighting for safety who were so open and desperate to take the 3pts, we were pathetic. Saving the one point as opposed to taking the three at home is something I never want to see again. McPake better have a stellar close season or he will be gone by the next transfer window. That wasn't anywhere near good enough.
  13. Late stewards enquiry. The Roy Barry Fan club has got 40pts (Sorry!) and Not 38pts, so that makes him level pegging with Superally with one game to go. It literally is "all to play for". The Prediction League is action to the end.............................

Firstly, congratulations to The Roy Barry Fan Club for taking the plaudits on the top step of the podium with a great 40pts, He also won the goal bonus as did Andrew Mitchell and Deutsch Par. Digs earned the 5 pt crowd bonus. Superally had a stinker and has very nearly thrown away a big lead but just managed to hang onto first place now shared with The Roy Barry Fan Club with Deutsch Par only 4 points behind top spot. With only one week left, it literally is all to play for especially as end of season games are notoriously difficult to predict so it’s still open season on the final placings and those who have Jokers left will be hanging on to that advantage. Remember if you don’t use your remaining Jokers by next week, you will lose them. Remember to check your scores and let me know if there are any problems and I’ll sort it out. Good Luck for week 36, it’s the final week! 15. Legends is fine, I prefer Charlie D's good company, banter and live music. Given the choice its Charlie D's
  16. I'm not sure if I'm correct here but In all comps (League and Cup) I have McCann scoring 4 goals in the League and 3 goals in the League Cup. In truth I thought he would have kicked on this season, but I don't think the style of play we have has helped nor has the injury crisis. I continue to think like others there is a player in there and agree with the point mentioned earlier that both Nisbet and Shankland were late to develop. Striking options since Nisbet left have been dire for the Pars. Its fantastic that Sutherland is doing so well and has great potential but i'm cautious in placing too much expectations on him at an early age
  17. Just a wee shout to remind folks to get their predictions in as there is a game tomorrow - dont miss out. COYP
  18. I hope they can do something at HT before the last crowd of the season. It's a fantastic achievement from the youngsters that should be marked in front of the home support. A lot of credit goes to the management who kept faith and didn't flood the team with seasoned pros.
