  1. I think in fairness to MFW and Benjamin they were literally dropped into that game and the defence was makeshift at best and Morton took advantage of that. I think if you were consider MFW now, he is a different player entirely.

  3. After Fridays brilliant 3-1 thrashing of league leaders Dundee Utd the Pars hit the road on Saturday to Greenock playing Morton and to seek retribution for the absolute pummeling they gave us at East End Park last time the sides met. For the sake of PTSD, I wont mention the score line! Morton didn’t play that well on the day, but their physicality won through and we made it easy for them by giving away sloppy goals and allowed ourselves to be intimidated all over the park. Morton did have a fantastic unbeaten run, but recent form has not been kind to them losing their last three games and although the defeats have been narrow and by a single goal their last win was five weeks ago. Undoubtedly the Pars have welcomed returning players back into the fold and consequently form has improved significantly, hopefully this will continue as there are only a handful of games left before seasons end. The Pars will have taken great confidence in their win against the leaders, but at the end of the day there is no point intaking three points against the league leaders unless we can take them against teams who we should be challenging against. This could be a close one to call but we have had two wins already against Morton this season and I think with our away form we should be able to earn a third. 2-1 Pars COYP

BussPassPar 19 Golden Goal (11m) No Winners Crowd (6368) Secure Par Has to have been a great night for the Pars last night with valuable points. Some good scores in the Prediction League with Aaron Kane out on his own with a very good 34pts, so well done to him earning the top step of the winners podium. Sadly no goal scorer but the 5pt crowd bonus goes to Secure Par who takes the second step. As for the league table, Superally remains at the top of the table but with a slightly reduced lead of 25pts from Ian Johnston who moves back into second place showing good form with his 10th top 5 finnish. We have had a host of Jokers played this weekend, but we only have seven games left so remember if you don’t use your Jokers by the last game, you will lose them. Remember to check your scores and let me know if there are any problems and I’ll sort it out. Good Luck for week 30. 6. Against a club that are favourites to win the title we have had a real hix over them this season, they only drew their first game because of a extra time goal. It was also Mochrie at the death to score their winner at the previous outing at EEP. 0-0 draw it could be argued we had the opportunities to win that game as well. That win was coming but it will mean nothing unless we can get wins against teams like Arbroath, ICT and Ayr etc. Still we have good reason to feel optimistic with returning players. COYP
  7. Its a valid point and a missed opportunity they should be using social media more to promote the image of the club
  8. Exciting times @Eastendtales:
  9. All managers success is dependent on results, I quite like McPake if he screws it up he takes ownership of it and says so. If he gets the support of the board I think we will be OK. I have no doubt he has bought in to The Pars and EEP
  10. Im sure everyone will agree, brilliant summery, well done @Piracy & @Digs. Good work.
  11. There seems to be a fair bit of chatter on some forums over ICT and possible admin. No doubt a standard points drop will benefit us, but I suspect if there is any move to admin it will be in the close season. I do think there is a lot of postulating by Scott Gardiner who is upset that a planning application has not gone his way. Might be interesting how this develops if at all over the next few weeks but Gardiner often blows out his ass and it probably will be nothing.
  12. Just a wee reminder to say its game on tomorrow, so you know what to do COYP 😉

  15. “The Wee Teams” win on Tuesday will set the tone for the match at EEP when we welcome Dundee Utd for a scheduled Friday night TV match. Ultimately the league leaders will be desperate to maintain their status at the top – so we can expect a tough game. Thus far games between the Pars and the Arabs have been tight affairs with two draws and a close win in favour of the sand dancers. The last outing between the teams at Tanadice was a 0-0 affair where the Pars soaked up a lot of pressure, but had their own chances to take the 3pts down the road. The Pars last outing saw us lose out 2-0 to Raith, but we had the balance of play, however the old adage of being unable to score enough goals and squandering chances has been hugely frustrating this season. The Pars beat Dundee Utd 3-2 in the SPFL Reserve Cup today where a number of 1 team players featured with goals from Holms (2) and Sutherland. There is rumour Kane, Fisher and Tod may make the squad and its getting to that point of the season where we need a fully fit squad as every game will count. A home win would be brilliant, but I think we will be happy to take the point. Score draw.

Deutsch Par 26 Golden Goal (0m) Crowd (6274) Andrew Whitaker Disappointing result for the Pars today and it was a mixed bag of results in the prediction league despite a host of Jokers being played – some ending with maximum points. However, the top of this weeks podium goes to Craig Dougs McAuliffe with a cracking Joker assisted 40pts, so well done to him. Again no goal scorer but the 5pt crowd bonus goes to Andrew Whitaker. AS for the league table, Superally extends his lead at the top to 30pts from new second placed Eric Spaven. As we are in the last quarter of the season remember if you don’t use your Jokers, you will lose them. Remember to check your scores and let me know if there are any problems and I’ll sort it out.
