  1. After the disappointment over the result on Tues night the Pars face Raith Rovers in a derby fixture for the 5th time this season (Albeit one was actually a cup game!). Undeniably their new Board & Management has lifted the wee teams energy and they are on merit strong challengers for the league title. Indeed, even if they don’t win the league outright they will be strong challengers in a play off competition. While recent form has probably dipped slightly they will be a difficult team to beat at the San Starko. The Pars up to Tues were hoping for a five game unbeaten run but once again inconsistencies in performance and being relatively toothless up front will be hoping for Kanes return to the front line. The return of KRH and Bene will be welcomed but they are a long way off match fitness and the faithful’s expectations will have to be tempered. The wee team are the only side that has a 100% record against the Pars and while we are a team that seems to do better away from the pressures of EEP, I think a win after Tues night will be stretching it. Score draw at best. COYP

  4. The Pars welcome Airdrie to EEP for a previously postponed game and I guess that following a four game unbeaten run there is a sense of anticipation the Pars could make it five. Airdrie in terms of form are similar to the Pars, but are unbeaten in their last two games, winning against leaders Dundee Utd and drawing against Queens Park in their last outing. Currently Airdrie sit 6th in the League table on the same points as the Pars and also sharing the same goal difference. Indeed, there is little to separate between the two teams who will be looking to take advantage of a win from either side and aiming to potentially reduce the gap to Morton in fourth place to two pts. It’s going to be another tough game but heading into the last few games it’s all about momentum. I think new players continuing to gel into the side and long term injured players are now slowly returning to the squad we seem to be in a better position that a few weeks ago. Close to call but the Pars can edge this by a single goal 2-1. COYP
  5. East End Bounce Prediction League 2023/24 Prediction League Updated Fixtures Tues 5th March Week 21 Updated Fixture Dunfermline Ath v Airdrie Week 14 Updated Fixture Morton v Dundee Utd I have predictions from everyone for both these fixtures but if you want to change them you can do so. COYP
  6. I have always thought that with the squad we had we were capable of a playoff position. With players still to come back from Injury we should be even stronger than today. Equally Like @scottyboy I don't think we have any thing to fear heading into the last quarter. We are no where near good enough for promotion but I think we can finish strongly, its all about momentum we can take into the last games. COYP
  7. Would have been perfect if Bene had a run out even for the last 5. Great win. Thought the new guys did well and are gelling nicely into the team. Looking at the form League tables and over 4 games we are the form team atm - more of the same please

Some decent scores in the Prediction League as well. Its BusPassPar who takes the top step in the podium with a decent 27pts so well done to him. The second step is shared between Eggy Eggy and the Roy Barry Fan Club who won the 5pt Crowd and Golden Goal Bonus respectively. Well done to them both. However Superally continues to lead the table and extends his lead to 18pts from Ian Johnston. Some good use of Jokers this week especially Joe Napier who blagged 20pts but its also a wee reminder that as we are nearly heading into the last quarter of games if you don’t use them you will lose them. Again there are a couple of mid-week fixtures so don’t miss out and remember to check your scores and let me now if there are any problems and I’ll sort it out. Good Luck for week 28. 10. Currently 2-2 between Arbroath and Rovers. Think dare i say it I prefer a Rovers win 🤣

  13. That was my impression at the meeting when the question was asked
  14. I'm tempted to think that being in the playoffs as opposed to winning the championship would be little in terms of revenue! It seems a slightly bizzare statement to me

  16. Although a draw at Inverness may have not been ideal, the Pars are unbeaten in three and have taken five points from those last games and in-spite of ongoing injury issues form has gradually improved. This Saturday the Pars welcome Ayr Utd to EEP in another crucial fixture. Win and the potential is there for the Pars to climb to 5th place in the table. However, the Honest Men will be no push overs scoring four goals, winning against Partick Thistle and are sitting fifth in the table 3 points ahead of the Pars. Recent form also has them slightly ahead of the Pars. Injuries continue to dominate team selection and formation and as we seem to get closer to players returning others are added to the list. There is a chance that Kane might be fit to return in his striking role after illness. It’s a time in the season where every point is valuable but the Pars have to consider a single point isn’t enough and its three points needed. Ayr Utd can be a bit of hit or miss at times, but the Pars really have to have the ambition to take the initiative especially at home. Going to be another tight game but of we play as we did at Firhill the three pts will be welcomed. 2-1 Pars COYP

  18. I think Ross Millen would be a decent shout, but he was terribly targeted and unnecessarily so by the boo-boys in our crowd when he was here as a youngster. However has done well for himself since he has left but there is no chance he would return. I'm sure he will have other options.

The Saline Hill Puma 17 Golden Goal (0m) Crowd (1958) Digs After last weeks highest ever score Its just like the Pars to hit the floor with an almighty thump and indeed the Prediction League had its lowest winning score which was shared between Andy Carp and Digs with a non-impressive score of 19. Indeed, Digs score was also assisted by earning the 5pt crowd Bonus. No Golden goal for this week. The table has had a wee shuffle, but Superally still leads albeit it’s reduced to 8pts from Ian Johnston. However, with recent good scores it looks like lencarp, Deutsch Par, Andy Carp & TRBFC are all looking for a final push to take the top spot in the final quarter. It has to be said with a week of low scores a good handful of punters just missed out of earning a FACEPALM. However, two did suffer glorious failure and Teuchter & Old Yin have to hang their head in shame until Saturday. Remember to check your scores and let me now if there are any problems and I’ll sort it out. Good Luck for week 27.
