East End Bounce Prediction League 2023/24 Prediction League Week 31 Fixtures Fri 29th March Ayr Utd v Airdrie Sat 30th March Arbroath v Dunfermline (Goal/Crowd) Dundee Utd v Raith Rovers Morton v Queens Park Partick v Inverness CT Remember to use your Jokers 🃏 before the last game or you will lose them and check your predictions before you post. Good Luck & COYP
  2. Welch-Hayes goal from today. Brilliant stuff. COYP
  3. I thought we would win by a single goal in what was a very physical game, so i'm delighted we were not bullied out of the game. I posted earlier that if we were to even think about a promotion play off place we had to beat Airdrie & Morton - well that's us half way there with a excellent win. Towards the end of the season any team with a run of form will have a chance. COYP
  4. East End Prediction League 2023/24 Prediction League Week 30 Scores Sat 23rd March Arbroath 0 Partick Th 1 Ayr Utd 1 Queens Park 2 Dundee Utd 1 Inverness CT 1 Morton 0 Dunfermline Ath 1 (55/2105) TOP 5 1. Andrew Mitchell 20 2. Thomas Irvine 19 3. Old Yin 19 4. The Saline Hill Puma 19 5. Ross Hunter 19 Golden Goal (55m) No Winners Crowd (2105) Andrew Whitaker Brilliant away win for the Pars today but not so great scores in the prediction league despite only 4 games being played. However Andrew Mitchell takes the top space on this weeks podium with 20pts so well done to him. No one correctly predicted the time of our goal so no points but Andrew Whitaker has the second place on the podium for winning the 5pt crowd bonus. No change at the top of the table where unusually the top 4 players all scored the same 14pts, so Superally continues with his lead of 25pts over Ian Johnston in second place. We only have six games left, so remember if you don’t use your Jokers by the last game, you will lose them. Remember to check your scores and let me know if there are any problems and I’ll sort it out. Good Luck for week 31. 5. Brilliant win for the Pars
  6. Saved Penalty, we need to manage the rest of this game out now
  7. 1-0 Pars, Welsh-Hayes first goal for the Pars
  8. Good to see Kane back, Bench looks good too. COYP
  9. Even when we look back to earlier in the season (pre injury crisis) we were never prolific or indeed clinical, plenty of chances but the end product wasnt always there. It was arguable that we weren't that prolific last season either! Thus far we have only scored three goals on four occasions this season: Dundee Utd, Partick, Arbroath & Ironically Morton. Strange that three of those sides have strongly featured in the top 4 albeit Morton have just dropped off. With nearly a full squad available I think we are more balanced and better able to convert the chances that come to us, I'll take a win by a single goal.
  10. Game on tomorrow, so you all know the script and get yer predictions in on time. COYP
  11. McPake on COWs suggesting that both Kane and Breen are back in the squad. Summers it seems has not fully recovered from a back injury. Wighton due to have surgery today. Talks positively about having nearly a full squad to play from almost to an extent that its bigger than they would like but praises the board for making the signings when we had the injuries. 12. In the last quarter we have played the top two teams in the league and still have to play Away: Airdrie, Arbroath, Ayr Utd, Morton, Home: ICT, Partick, Queens Park In the first quarter of games we took 14pts, and in the second and third Quarters we managed 9pts each. Thus far we have taken 3pts in the fourth and last quarter. Of the teams left to play our record stands as: Airdrie: 2wins, 1 loss Arbroath: 1 win, 2 draws Ayr: 1 win, 1 draw, 1 loss Morton: 2 wins, 1 loss ICT: 3 draws Partick: 1 win, 2 loss Queens Park: 1 win, 2 loss I think realistically Arbroath are doomed, There is a risk of relegation play off place, but we are 4pts clear of ICT in 9th spot. From the games left to play and injured players returning to full fitness I think there is a great chance of taking 10-12 pts which should make us safe from relegation. A good run in 12-15pts is possible and that may take us into a promotion play off but we would have to beat Partick and Airdrie. Ultimately although we need to do it for ourselves. Other teams results will help as well. Form going into the end of season is all important.
  13. Well done to Jakubiak for making the SPFL team of the week. Disappointed that KRH didnt feature as well
  14. Aye it was a bit unfair on them both and they took an awful lot of flak, but we probably had no choice to play them.
  15. I think in fairness to MFW and Benjamin they were literally dropped into that game and the defence was makeshift at best and Morton took advantage of that. I think if you were consider MFW now, he is a different player entirely.
  16. Arbroath 0 Partick Th 2 Ayr Utd 2 Queens Park 1 Dundee Utd 3 Inverness CT 1 Morton 1 Dunfermline Ath 2 (24/3077)
  17. After Fridays brilliant 3-1 thrashing of league leaders Dundee Utd the Pars hit the road on Saturday to Greenock playing Morton and to seek retribution for the absolute pummeling they gave us at East End Park last time the sides met. For the sake of PTSD, I wont mention the score line! Morton didn’t play that well on the day, but their physicality won through and we made it easy for them by giving away sloppy goals and allowed ourselves to be intimidated all over the park. Morton did have a fantastic unbeaten run, but recent form has not been kind to them losing their last three games and although the defeats have been narrow and by a single goal their last win was five weeks ago. Undoubtedly the Pars have welcomed returning players back into the fold and consequently form has improved significantly, hopefully this will continue as there are only a handful of games left before seasons end. The Pars will have taken great confidence in their win against the leaders, but at the end of the day there is no point intaking three points against the league leaders unless we can take them against teams who we should be challenging against. This could be a close one to call but we have had two wins already against Morton this season and I think with our away form we should be able to earn a third. 2-1 Pars COYP

BussPassPar 19 Golden Goal (11m) No Winners Crowd (6368) Secure Par Has to have been a great night for the Pars last night with valuable points. Some good scores in the Prediction League with Aaron Kane out on his own with a very good 34pts, so well done to him earning the top step of the winners podium. Sadly no goal scorer but the 5pt crowd bonus goes to Secure Par who takes the second step. As for the league table, Superally remains at the top of the table but with a slightly reduced lead of 25pts from Ian Johnston who moves back into second place showing good form with his 10th top 5 finnish. We have had a host of Jokers played this weekend, but we only have seven games left so remember if you don’t use your Jokers by the last game, you will lose them. 20. Against a club that are favourites to win the title we have had a real hix over them this season, they only drew their first game because of a extra time goal. It was also Mochrie at the death to score their winner at the previous outing at EEP. 0-0 draw it could be argued we had the opportunities to win that game as well. That win was coming but it will mean nothing unless we can get wins against teams like Arbroath, ICT and Ayr etc. Still we have good reason to feel optimistic with returning players. COYP
  21. Its a valid point and a missed opportunity they should be using social media more to promote the image of the club
  22. Exciting times @Eastendtales:
  23. All managers success is dependent on results, I quite like McPake if he screws it up he takes ownership of it and says so. If he gets the support of the board I think we will be OK. I have no doubt he has bought in to The Pars and EEP
