    Good points, eloquently made, BRS.

The monarchy is an anachronism in this day and age - the king is no longer needed to lead his country into battle. Many countries still preserve one all the same, but the king/queen is little more than an ambassador. I don't think any other country has the vast number of hangers on that we have, mostly living a life of privilege funded by the taxpayer.

Will the monarchy be abolished in our lifetime? I very much doubt it. This would have been the ideal opportunity to call time on it, but King Charles the Turd has already been sworn in and all his previous sins have been forgiven/forgotten.

Perhaps a surprising number of people in Scotland are still in favour of keeping the monarchy, but that's nothing compared to the fawning flag wavers South of the border.....

Cracking Post GG we need to seize the opportunity now and abolish this dysfunctional collection of hangers on

With Pomp and circumstance of course 🙂

Now, obviously I know what FLOV means, but for any poor soul on here that doesn't, maybe someone (else) could explain...?

  3. 2 - 0 At half time, - how on earth can you score 93 goals in 45 minutes ??

The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) is investigating the outcome of two matches that produced an unbelievable total of 187 goals.

The two second-tier games saw Kenema-based Kahunla Rangers and Gulf FC of Kono heavily defeat their city rivals in Premier League qualifiers on Sunday.

Kahunla walloped Lumbebu United 95-0, and Gulf FC thrashed Koquima Lebanon 91-1, providing the two biggest victories recorded in the history of Sierra Leonean football.

However, the half-time scores were just 2-0 and 7-1 respectively, and both results have been annulled because of suspicion of match manipulation.

The last time GG had it on good authority from his source it was blown out the water and he  wasted more posts apologising for his misunderstanding because his source misled  him !!  He is an attention seeker to the point of double posting on here and dot net  Narcissist  in the extreme

As da_no_1 says its becoming the Norm ..

Swindon Town manager Ben Garner said his players were "physically and verbally abused" after their League Two play-off semi-final defeat by Port Vale

The Robins were beaten 6-5 on penalties by Vale after the match ended 2-2 on aggregate after the two legs.

Vale fans swarmed on to the pitch after the last penalty and television footage appeared to show some in an altercation with Swindon players.

"There was physical abuse out there, there was verbal abuse," said Garner.
