Please be assured that as a community football club we fully acknowledge this signing has divided opinion amongst our loyal fans and commercial stakeholders; we aim to rebuild that trust.
So after careful consideration and listening to all view points and reading what Goodwillie and Robertson subjected the Lassie to we have cancelled his contract with immediate effect, - or something similar would do 😞

Cant believe I'm reading this, shaking head here. There has to be a furious backlash, What on earth were the board thinking about ??

Now seeing Dorrans as the player we knew he was. - Thats the most together I have seen the squad for a long time I know its easy to be happy when we win but they all dug in and played for each other. - Yogi has them buzzing - and the fans who made the trip played their part as well C.O.Y.P.

Based on Ayr fans having watched him play over the past two seasons?
I have seen him play yes.
🤷♂️ There were negative comments about the Grant appointment, and his summer buisness, was that the reason it failed? No, it failed because it was bad. If you're going to shut your eyes and just clap along at whatever it makes any opinion pointless.
We've signed a player, from what I've seen of him, and from what the fans of his other clubs say it doesn't seem like a very good signing, it's really not that deep.
Fair enough Grant, ye can take the Laddie out of .net etc.

The R in VAR is "referee" though. So it absolutely IS the fault of the VAR.
People always seem surprised when VAR makes terrible decisions, but it's still just the same people as before. It's solved nothing, but it has made games worse due to interruptions and uncertainties over celebrating a goal, AND it's made incidents like this even more annoying than if the ref had just got it wrong in real time.
With respect S.P. VAR does not make the decisions, VAR gives the Ref, assistant Refs and assistant video Ref the opportunity to re- asses, re-visit, re-consider at various angles in slow - mo to help the on field Ref re-evaluate his real time decision, If he still makes an erse of it its not VARS fault, just saying

🤷♂️ No point ever passing comment on a signing then really.
A comment based on what tho Grant ? You have obviously seen him play ? and also know a lot more about him to post such an early negative comment
Gee Whiz at least give him time to get in the door !!

An absolutely farcical decision - it utterly beggared belief - VAR at its absolute worst…..
But its not VAR at fault D.D. Its the incompetents that are analysing it

If we're being honest, there's not allot to suggest that'll be a good signing.
Time will tell Grant I'm prepared to wait and see before I judge the Laddie

How on earth can two EPL refs watch Jota deliberately run into the Palace keeper on the ground and award a penalty?

Considering they both watched it several times, it`s beyond astonishing.
If you watch the replay he looks at the keeper and changes direction slightly to barge over him

Superb Eddie, well done, a fantastic initiative

And from reading those who watched him in Australia, he didn't set the heather alight out there either. You'd have to go back years, and years to try and find performances that justify him being our best paid player, while ignoring years worth of average performances. I'm also guessing that we would've offered him on the contract based on his history, rather than us having a scouting network in the Australian league tipping us of?
He's alright, we don't particularly miss him when he's not playing, and when he does he's more likely to slow the tempo down than he is to progress us up the park, as with most things they need blanaced up, for what we'll be giving Dorrans he quite frankly isn't giving enough back, that doesn't necessarily make him a bad player, but it does mean he's not been a good signing.
You say you don't talk down to people, however you then say in the last paragraph that you know what you said is condescending?
I didn't imply that at all, my post was clearly about how midfield was our biggest problem, asking you to ask Yogi about that while showing evidence about the whole team structure is done with the centre midfield deficiencys in mind is inferring exactly that, centre midfield is our biggest problem, don't get angsty because you're looking so deeply into posts to try help your own narrative.
There's a good amount of justification for criticising Dorrans performances, unsurprisingly when we've been stinking the league out for most of the season. Likewise it's pretty hard to say whether Yogi has been a good, or bad choice. There's sadly some worrying signs in his tenure though that people were worried about when he was appointed. However he might turn out good.
Or maybe, just a thought, that merely playing as a centre back doesn't make you an oracle of knowledge for everything there is to know about the game? I played as a defender but its not like me yeeting balls into the channel for a striker to chase gives me special insight into the game. It also doesn't make me more likely to criticise a midfielder, than it does for me to criticise a goalkeeper, a striker or, a defender.
I won't take your advice because I already am calm, now if I capitalising random words? That would come across as angsty. there'll be opinions I have on our state of play that absolutely won't align with what other posters think, and that's alright, it doesn't mean that they don't know what they're talking about, that's football. I don't hold my opinion of it in such a regard that I think what I say, is.
Oh Jings guys I thought I had logged into .net

Could be the making of him, the re-birth, regular game time and scoring goals for fun, would help him no end. Its the baggage that would worry me but on the right terms I would risk it

Aye, that was a real shame for the poor Bairns - I think I cried myself to sleep every night for a week....
I'm thinking the league must have been tightly bunched at the bottom, as it is this season, so safety will need a similarly high points total. 🙁
5th Morton 46 points
6th Partick 43
7th Pars 41
8th Alloa 39
9th Doonhamers 38 -7
10th Falkirk 38 -12

Quite different from working with a small squad and no money and no expectations this season, to dealing with massive expectation and spending big money on players
Aye but its a start Raymie, and he has worked under and learned from top managers, similar to Gerrard, something has to rub off, stick, and influence his managerial style based on his past as a player, Iv'e never been in the (he is inexperienced camp), Based on Everton's previous 10 managers since Moyes left in 2013 he is worth a chance

only downside for me is that our goalie is a weakness. I’m always fearful with balls into out box from set pieces
My thoughts for a long time as well Raymie, He is a big Lad but cannot command his box/area, also indecisive when to come for ball. Once he coaches himself in that particular weakness he will be a great keeper
