As much as grant had to do, the players should take a long hard look at themselves too, unacceptable performances so far imo

Kelty no argument here but it is the managers job to get the best from his players and that includes the way he treats them, speaks to them, encourages them or kicks their erchie etc. Man management is so important for well being and success

Peter Grant might not even have been the problem, but he did sign several players who haven't been good enough to hold down a regular starting place.

I remember after AJ was sacked and Stevie Crawford took over. He told us at a supporters meeting that he'd never experienced a dressing room in which so many players had a really poor attitude, so perhaps it's no wonder that he struggled in the beginning and AJ struggled towards the end of his time at EEP.

If a workman is only as good as his tools, perhaps a manager is only as good as his players?

Not sure about that analogy G.G. I think a good manager would have sorted the poor attitude in the dressing room, its all down to good man management, a wee cuddle for some, a kick up the erchie for others, but never punish in public

It's sad to say that even when going 2 up I pretty much expected Arbroath to win. Now Peter Grant can't even claim there has been an improvement in defence or a run unbeaten.

I've held back until now as I've always believed a manager needs time to build their team and put their plans into effect but the truth is Peter Grant's plan A was appalling and was abandoned and he hasn't even done a decent job of steadying the ship. I believe he's tried his best but he must go now for the good of the club, there is simply no way back without a change in management.

    Good post Number Eleven

Like you I have been keeping quiet hoping upon hope that things would improve and we would start winning games That is not the case If anything things are getting worse week on week. Fans shouting and swearing at the manager and players, calling for the chairman and board to resign. Turning on each other as well  These are sad serious times, loose to Morton and we really are in bother, as G.G. mentioned Grants  position is untenable

He will leave Ally. He's had enough by all accounts. Sad stuff, but if it's time, it's time.

Agree Piracy  but when the time is forced by half wits who could not even spell Chairman never mind understand the countless hours and work he gives to the club from his own personal  time.  Lets beat Killie on Saturday which would be a great result and Ross stays on which would be an even  better result

Just say you dislike him. It's easier 😂

Personally speaking I think he's been niave in a few of his responses post match. Blaming players etc rather than being a bit more diplomatic. Players won't respond well to that. He should keep that in-house imo

For me he's out his depth and he looks a bedraggled figure coming off the pitch last couple of matches. I genuinely think he's going in the next few matches, and he needs to as it's been a poor appointment.

Piracy nails it for me,  he looks a broken man,  and that can only manifest to the dressing room.  As  much as I don't want anyone to loose their main income I think P.G. has been winging it and is out his depth.  Looking more and more like he has no man management skills either
