  1. The work the volunteers do is fantastic. DADSC, Heritage Trust, Pars Foundation and the many others who give up their time is appreciated by myself and most other fans.

Being an integral part of the community is what we all want to see.

The work on the academy is looking fantastic and let's hope it pays dividends in the not to distant future.

I'm a fan of James McPake, he comes across as a passionate and honest man. I want him to succeed.

Like others I love our club, it's a massive part of my life, and for a lot of my family. I want nothing but success.

    However, here's the but!

I too feel disconnected. Maybe it's because the former board were virtually all of those who arrested the situation left behind by Masteron. I had high hopes when the new board took over. Now, I feel there's maybe not the same level of care and attention being given to the club. It feels less personal and I don't doubt their integrity or their motives, but I'm not sure they'll ever learn to love the club. To really succeed, I believe they'll need that depth of feeling. I've been a gubby **** in the eyes of some fellow supporters, I'll have burnt bridges with a few influential people at the club, so be it. I'm sorry but I'm not convinced.

I thought the tannoy had been replaced? Certainly a lot clearer in the main stand now, maybe that work hasn’t been completed in the rest of the stadium.

Best way to get the toilets replaced is to give that section too Falkirk or rovers for a game, annoyingly we’ve payed for their toilets too be replaced when ours are in need of an upgrade

Maybe the tannoy had been done, it was terrible for years. Still sounds terrible in the NW.

  3. I remember the former board saying about how much of a burden maintenance costs were, it's a big facility. It really is about prioritising what is statutory in relation to legislation compliance against a wish list of upgrades. The tannoy system is horrendous, that should really be a necessary improvement. The NW toilets are a disgrace being honest, but it doesn't bother me, and probably high on the clubs priority list.

  4. The club reported losses of around £1,000,000 last finnancial year. Not anyone else reporting or speculating a loss that size, it was the club. Had it been planned?, I can't answer that. Projected losses for this financial year again will be extensive, were they planned, again I cannot answer that. No idea on spend against revenue as the club chose not to give out that level of detail. I'd be happy if the club were to spell out a planned vision and strategy for the club stating the reason for sustaining considerable losses but we've not really seen that. The club did say given the complexities of running a football club it was difficult to put out a detailed strategy. Tbf the club also said they have complete confidence in the Board and how they're running things, so we'll have to trust them with that. It's their situation to manage and ultimately they'll be judged on results both on and off the park. Let's hope for a good close season and a competitive season once we get going.

  5. I've said often enough on here, big consecutive losses are an issue because it isn't sustainable and by David Cooks own admission the club will have to arrest the overspending at some point. That has to have negative consequences for the amount of cash available for the Manager. We'll see how this close season pans out and it's James McPakes biggest test to date. I hope he gets who he's after. Interesting times ahead.

  6. The training facility was paid for by Grants and a loan from Gmbh Fussball, not from the clubs cash reserves. So the playing budget wasn't competing with the training facility.

Tbf it's looking good so far and hopefully pay dividends longer term. Suppose it's about how we fund the next phase and balance that against financing everything else we're responsible for, which is why consecutive losses worry me.

Balancing budget whilst keeping aspiration in check is the key.

  7. The situation with the substantial losses over two seasons is disappointing. But there's nothing us supporters can really do about it, that's the boards situation to manage. They're adamant it's under control so let them crack on.

There are 2 things for me: 1. hopefully a growth in revenue from commercial ventures and initiatives brings in substantial amounts to counter our spends, and 2. We see McPake getting full backing from the Board regarding signings and backing his aspirations.

Will anyone from this forum be going and could provide some updates?  This happened previously and was really useful for those who can’t be there. 🙂

I've done notes previously for these meetings, and other supporters initiatives. But for personal reasons I'm not willing to do any more for the foreseeable.

However other forum members may consider it.

Exactly, its hard to judge when hes hardly played in his position too. Pars fans love the lazy tag. Mccann, Wighton and Chalmers get it at some point.

I wouldn't describe any of those lazy.

Neither would I. In fact I'd say that both unfair and inaccurate.

I think everyone connected to the Pars were frightened of losing yesterday. Its only natural. I was dreading the game and I'm just an ageing overweight loudmouth in the Norrie.

I completely disagree that the team "looked like they'd given up". You can say what you want about ability etc but in my opinion you're completely wrong about attitude.

You're perfectly entitled to 100% disagree with anything I post, I've no issue with that at all. I was raging yesterday and I don't usually rant at the manager and players but that performance was pathetic. No idea idea if it could be attributed to fear of losing or lack of confidence in the game plan, but it was not acceptable.

No chance that McPake is leaving with him contracted to the club. Not one chance.

It's possible that him and everyone just need a decent break away, time to forget everything then come back blazing pre season. Feel like that just supporting them from afar.

    Your confidence is heartening.

Anyone watching the last few cannot fail to see the lack of confidence in our ability and game plan. I think there's something affecting things behind the scenes. There's an almost prevelant air of apathy about the club on match days.

I hope James McPake stays and gets full backing from the club over the summer. He does do a lot of analytical stuff and talks really enthusiasticly about learning about the game. I think he's an honest and passionate guy.

I'm not convinced about the board and their future plans for the development playing side, which is what most fans worry about. There's 2 consecutive seasons of heavy financial losses to consider and the intention to reign in the spending and how that influences signings. It's great that board to say that Gmbh Fussball were absolutely willing put their hand in to their pocket to put the necessary £300k in to the development of the academy/training facilities, but how long will they keep putting substantial sums of cash into the club?

  13. Going to be some league next season, exceptionally competitive. We can't compete effectively without really overhauling the squad we currently have. I believe most Pars fans would agree with that. We've not been dynamic or overtly ambition in previous windows and we've got players signed on lengthly deals. This is going to take some collectivd effort to manage this successfully and put us in a good position for top 4 finishing. Are our board and management aligned on strategy for dealing with this?, let's hope so.

Nope. Just musing that you're slavering

    Cheeky ****.

McPake is struggling to get his team playing well, nobody can defend that garbage yesterday. No slavering there.

It wouldn't surprise me if he were to get moved along. Yes, I'm making assumptions but I genuinely think they looked like we'd given up, which is opposite to last seasons team.

I stand by things not being right at the club.

  15. That was utter f*ckin tripe. I was utterly bemused and frustrated with what was served up today. I don't think McPake will be here next season, I think they'll go head hunt another manager. I think they've just thought down tools, there's no fight, resilience, guile, hunger, desire, ambition etc, utterly dejected with the last couple of games. There's something not right at the club, you can call me a sh*t stirrer, a moaning c*nt, but I couldn't give a toss, it needs sorted.

So Charlie D’s has been going most of the season and last game so no staff etc…. Well done Mr Cook…he could have made this happen easily getting extra staff in but we all know he doesn’t want this🤷

Tbf they did try to get staff, well, I say they,  and I could be more specific but I won't. Wouldn't be fair.
