Posted this on another forum after last weeks game.
Strikers need other players to create chances for them. Too often pot shots are taken from outside the box that are either bouncing off defenders or go sailing over the bar rather than playing into the feet of a striker. Rewatched the game again on Pars TV replay and don`t understand the stick that Wighton was getting after the game. He created 2 great chances from the left wing, putting similar crosses into O`Halloran from the outside of his right boot to the back post. He also did 2 superb back heels, one to Otoo and one in the box to Summers. He was often asking for the ball to be played to feet or running into space and not getting the ball. 3 times O`Halloran could have played Wighton in when he was in space in the box but instead O`Halloran opted to take an extra touch and shoot with the shots being blocked and losing possession. Wighton also tried to play a 1-2 with Otoo and ran in between defenders looking for the return but it was put out wide to Edwards. Far too predictable.
