There were a few cases went to court down south and the judge ruled that the penalty imposed by these goons was not commensurate with any "loss" they suffered. It was shown that there was a sufficiency of spaces to ensure no customer for the retail stores were deprived of a case. Also no contract has been entered i.e when you pay and display or take a ticket from a barrier you enter into an agreement in terms of your stay there and penalties and charges are applied or identified at the time. I got a cracking letter in red which pretty much condemned me to a credit-less life if I failed to pay. Doesn't show up on any credit ratings, it's utter bull**** and extortion.
