His usual blinkers were left off that day and the distance of three miles would now probably be his absolute minimum. The stamina and acceleration he showed when taking that end of season marathon at Sandown was very impressive and if his young jockey can get him jumping fluently early on and gradually moving his way through the field then he must have every chance of making the frame at least in this year's Grand National.
